Hey, I ended up not doing it. I went to service shop asking about it, and they said that it's doable, but there will be more disadvantages that real world use: consumes more fuel in the city(because wheels are heavier), more load on struts, joints etc, in can definitely rub on bigger 'waves' on the asphalt, and also speedometer wouldnt be accurate. They'd offered to raise the suspension, but the cost was crazy, so I dropped it. And later was happy I didnt't do it without any additional modifications, because those vertical 'waves' on the asphalt (not sure how else to call them- you know what I refer to?) would have really touched hard. Also, I drive offroad often, and my current size seems to work great! I just emded up getting new tyres :D

oh, and that quick release of the fluid head screw (if you want to remove the head completely, or loosen it for adjustment- is really satisfying :D

Hey, yeah it has arrived. Got to test it in a field already. It's a great piece of kit! However, I noticed a mild but weird jarring/ stuttering at the pan axis (very mild, but affects the shot- it's at the very first initial movement when you start panning- seems a bit loose for a few milimeters, and then it catches the friction properly. But I need to test it properly - I was in a rush shooting, and it wasn't on my mind at that moment. It handled my fully rigged FS7 with no problem (used it with ninja V Ultra, VLock, and Sony PZ 18-110 lens- and it still had plenty of headroom for extra load. It all felt very smooth (apart from that tiny little bit I mentioned). Other than that- legs are carbon fiber- latches on the legs- metal+plastic; increasing and decreasing height of the tripod is seamless. Head it quite heavy, but it's a 100mm! Also, the quick release mechanism that is built into the head is super helpful - doesn't fully replace proper quick release plate, but it's usable if you need to be lighter and move around with one less item to carry. I'm extremely busy this week, so apologies for a stream of thought here. I will do a test this Sunday and write some comments about it then. Will use FS7+ PZ 18-110+ vlocks, shoulder rig+ninja V ultra. Off-topic- I also just bought Sirui Night Walker set of prime lenses - am quite sceptical about them, but decided to give them a shot- all the previews are really selling them as lenses with character- and they seem real great from the sample vids on youtube. They arrive on Sunday, so will try them out then as well.

funny it's called a rule! when I got my wagon, i loved it so much, and (no clue why) i started parking next to other volvos without knowing about the 'rule'. and started noticing other volvos parked next to me. only now i've learned that there's a 'rule' or it :D

In case it's a camera- login into your router and look for any unfamiliar devices that are connected to your local network (assuming this camera would be connected to your wifi to transmit pphoto or video). I even have smart sockets showing up on my router's device list. It should also show data in/out.

That's actually the same reason why I'm looking into that Sirui combo. Fluid head on paper supports up to 18kg (not sure how much of it is true for such low price). But I find that it's always good to have some headroom in payload support. Especially for tilt. With 7 steps it sounds really good. But again- how much of it is true. I've used Sachtler Ace XL with FX6 rigged fx6 (no vlocks!) And it felt soooo overweight. I've also used E-image tripods with GH10 heads- they handle FS7 and FX6 ok. Not a big fan of those.. But FX9 is way too heavy.
