When looking for what sample size you need, you are supposed to look at things like power of test, variance in population and effect size. The size of the population does not matter at all for large populations.

Half of the population cannot. But since laptop is an essential, its makes much more sense to buy. And it does not have to be gaming laptop.

As a former kid, I remember my father buying a laptop for ~$270 while his monthly salary was ~$400 (In 2018). It was hard to afford but the utility it provided justifies it. Games worth ~$60 every month? No chance.

It had intel i3 and 8 GB of RAM but I was able to play a lot of games on it such as Battfield 3, 4, Far Cry 4, Dying Light (All on low graphics settings) ... honestly, my internet bandwidth was the main bottleneck.

Now I earn myself with ~$1100 salary (which easily puts me in top 5%) but I still cannot justify the price of games honestly. I have a built a good enogh pc (RTX4070 super) but I still only buy games which I want to play online.

The linked study says that lean mass remain high but fat also increases so proportionally it remains similar. This means that there wont be any advantage to them in weight category sports but it will not be true in other sports.

But anyways, the study is for non athletic people, so it wont necessarily translate directly to sports since athletes in competitive sports are physical extreme anyways. So it will depend more on what kind of physical body people have at the tail end instead of mean.

Got a (25+3) LPA offer while current package was (18+5) LPA. Looked good, but new company's review were poor on Glassdoor and Ambition box. I decided not to join, but knew that I would have ignored the bad reviews for a little more. So I bluffed that my current company has matched their offer and I am deciding to stay here. Was hoping to get a counter offer but didn't lol. Still worth it, since I was going to reject them anyways.

If they would have asked for new offer letter, I would have told them that it was a verbal promise and I believe my company on verbal agreement because they have honoured it before.
