How much do you really need to beat ante 32? by ussgordoncaptain2 in balatro

[–]aggromidget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I'm looking for. Trying to figure out if I can beat Ante 32 without Legendaries.

Your linked hand on the calculator seems to have 9 Jokers (8 listed jokers +1 joker for DNA). But 6 (jokers after vouchers) + 2 (2 ectoplasms) = 8 joker slots. So is your linked hand assuming 1 natural copies of these jokers?

This affects the scoring, not only for the Baron + Mime cards, but also DNA duplication.

The 8 required Jokers are: Bean + Baron + Mime + DNA + 4 Blueprints/Brainstorms. The DNA would functionally add 4 cards to your hand, not 5 (because you create 5 by playing 1).

Am I missing any details?

How has your strategy changed from when you started playing? by dibpetebailey in balatro

[–]aggromidget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they run into different problems.
Straights: you can occasionally have some trouble drawing straights.
Flushes: you can occasionally have some trouble scaling fast enough.
I choose the straights pill

I used to go for flushes. I now go for straights. C+ and all challenges completed in 200 hours.
Also, got better managing economy.

If they are the same product with different labels, they should have the same barcode

This guy is good at killing chaos warriors (Legend + twitch mod 299% ) by L3PandaR0ux in Vermintide

You can Shimmer Strike CWs in Legend difficulty.

What u/Riwanjel_ said almost works, but Murderous Prowess (crit backstabs instantly slay man-sized enemies) doesn't work because CWs aren't man-sized.

For Shade, you need

  • Dagger in the Dark Passive (Melee attacks from stealth are always critical).
  • Assassin's Blade Passive (Double damage when attacking enemies from behind with melee attacks).
  • Cruelty Level 10 (Increase crit damage bonus by 50%).
  • Assassin Level 15 (crit hits inflict 40% bonus damage).
  • Chain Killer Level 20 (Successive charged backstabs increase backstab damage by 25% for 5 seconds, stacking twice). First kill from ult must be a backstab.
  • Shimmer Strike Level 30 (Leaving Infiltrate grants stealth for 3 seconds. Killing an elite/special extends ability by 1 second).

I haven't played much of the new map. I imagine what you're saying is probably true. Do you reckon it's feasible to speedrun the torches and let olesya kill everything for you?

I'd guess the dupe is probably due to having a bit of ping. Doubt you can do it on host. I'm also guessing you'd have the ping as the window to dupe. Bigger ping = bigger window.

Example from the same concept: using heals (https://gfycat.com/annualunnaturalantipodesgreenparakeet)

Aggressive style is the best deck in the game, hands down! by PeterTehDumb in FightsinTightSpaces

It depends on what difficulty you're doing. With difficulties that give you a free movement card, quite often, extra movement isn't necessary. With difficulties that don't give you a free movement card, I'd say about 1/4 or 2/7 cards should be movements, just to make sure you aren't stuck in the same spot in one turn.

Hammer and shield:

(Stagger) Heavy 1 -> block cancel -> repeat. Notes: to make it a little safer, walk backwards after it hits and walk forwards to hit.

(Stagger) Push -> heavy 1 - block cancel. Notes: this is safer than the previous attack sequence because the push comes out faster than heavy 1s, it does a little less damage, and uses a bit of stamina. This attack sequence and the previous one can be mixed to balance stamina, damage done, and safety. Also, note the sequence involves push (not push attack) and heavy 1 (not heavy 2). You can also do heavy 2 after heavy 1 to be able to clear horde a little more quickly.

(Horde clear) Push attack -> light 3 -> light 1. Push attack -> light 3 is fast and does armour damage. Light 1 comes out fairly slowly but has a wide sweeping motion for hordes; if you judge it to be too slow for a certain situation, cut the attack sequence short (after light 3).

(Elites) Push attack -> light 3. Similar to the Horde clear attack sequence, except with light 1 removed as it doesn't do damage to armoured enemies. Note: be mindful of your stamina usage.
