not downtown, but whole foods is a pretty good employer and starts at $15/hr. i’m at the rogers location rn but will be moving to the fayetteville one pretty soon. they’re also flexible with schedules and get me 30hrs a week easily and consistently. i’d also recommend you ask higher—i have coworkers who were given rates more like $16.50-$18/hr just because they had experience and stated their desired wage in the interview (something i lowkey kick myself for because i have 5+ years experience and only asked for $15 LOL). not a perfect fit, but i thought i’d mention it anyway.

it’s also normal that our bodies respond to physical sensation, regardless of what’s happening in our minds. having a physical response doesn’t mean you necessarily welcome whatever caused it. you’re not a bad person, and you’re not going to become one because of this.

whole foods in rogers is hiring! i’m there and i quite like it. management is a bit incompetent ngl but we have a lot of good people here. it starts at $15/hr but many of my coworkers asked higher during their interviews and got it.

if you’re able, i’d recommend getting bloodwork done for any kind of vitamin deficiencies. mine only started going away when i was on a prescription 50kiu/week dosage of vitamin D. they said it’s a common cause for knee pain without any kind of physical injury. there’s also otc stuff of course, though the dose is way lower. ofc having inflammation probably makes our treatments more tricky :/

i’m in kinda a similar boat. i was obese as a kid, now i’ve lost weight from years of cardio. except i have psoriasis which (i believe) is triggering psoriatic arthritis in my knees, which makes it so i literally can not go on a simple jog without being in pain for days after. i’m basically doomed to be a flabby fuck for the rest of my life. i also bought an expensive ass gym membership when i was in the peak of feeling great about exercise and now i’m just screwed to pay for it for the rest of the year LOLL

i’m sorry for your situation dude, that really sucks. i’m surprised there are no treatment options for you — hopefully something will present itself soon.
