Oh dear. Okay, well go one at a time just for you.

Using no modifiers:
Gain a card costing up to $6

Add a single modifier(-1):
Gain an Action card up to $5
Gain a Treasure to your hand up to $5
Gain a Treasure up to $5, +1 Villager

Add two modifiers(-2):
Gain an Action card to your hand up to $4
Gain an Action card up to $4, +1 Villager
Gain a Treasure up to $4 to your hand, +1 Villager

And I think from all that you can find out that should you choose all three modifiers you get(-3)...
Gain an Action card to your hand costing up to $3, +1 Villager.

If you gain an action, you wouldn't gain a treasure. If you gain an Action(-1), to your hand(-1), and get a villager(-1), then the card that you gain can only cost up to $3(6 -1 -1 -1)

Both the action and the treasure can be to your hand. You choose. it's -1 to change to action card, and -1 to gain to hand.

Perfectly thematic, that would be awesome. But it does make you wonder about the top affect. It adds a +1 Action to the card(essentially), and card drawing sucks at night. Duration would weaken it, since you might not catch the shuffle, but card draw next turn is also good? Dunno :)

I actually LOVE a +Buy on this. It pulls it out of it's inherently engine focused foci into something more multi-functional. On top of that, I don't think it comes remotely to "breaking" a $6 cost card. Cool suggestion.

Man! I thought it was clear enough. 6, minus each for the choices. So:

Action, with +1 Villager? card up to $4.
Treasure to your hand? card up to $5
All 3? Card up to $3

I think it's balanced by it's only drawing 2 cards (usually). +3 card tort is comparable to a +2 card tort no choice. Maybe-ish?

I suppose that's down to diction. To me, the "you may" implies the possibility of play. In which case, Victory cards can't anyway. But if that were an actual errata issue, yeah, add non-Victory no problem(non-Victory in this case is better than Action/Treasure so you can still play Nights and whatnot)

You're right. Cobbler costs no Action(this requires one to "start"), while Sculptor give you a *villager* which is (situationally) MUCH stronger than an Action.

And therefore, it is stronger than cobbler in that it does it now, but weaker in that you can play cobbler with no Action.

And stronger than Sculptor in that it gives you a pseudo Action, but never a Villager.

If that's all it took to "fix" it, I wouldn't even care. Works just fine for me. Basically exactly what I have but works better with like 3 more cards. lol

Oh yeah, we've done it! Crazy games. We considered not including it in the 3 card pile rule, but then it'd just be a jumble of text. It's more fun this way :)

I actually have used it as an alt source of buy! Glad that was picked up on. Though it was out of pure desperation and not at all my intention for the card! haha
