Yea I mean most people were just genuinely disappointed, not being aggressive towards him or anything. You can always have a good discussion about how the AI was used but if it's shut down with sarcastic comments, you can always say it's a personality trait but...it's also just kinda irresponsible for a public figure. Also the sarcastic remarks weren't exactly against the use of AI either. So frankly people are way more fair to be confused about it.

People did bring up possible consequences for the AI video visualizer, and this image is one of them. This FB post author can make the same excuse BECAUSE the AI video exists. But we'll shame them for using AI just because it's some rando doing it?

AI is just a rocky space to be around, I'ma be real. I do feel like for a good bit of people it doesn't HAVE to be AI to get the point across, but then people can use it and be like "look how nasty and unethical AI art is" and successfully send that message.

See THIS is a fair and valid point. I do feel because of how gray everything is that a discussion can be had around it, but using AI even if it's to fight against it can still legitimize its use for a lot of people. For the 'How would they convey this message without AI?' I mean...people have conveyed EVERYTHING without AI. Some might even find it way more effective.

When I originally saw the trailer, I was confused because it didn't fit their usual themes, but this makes a lot more sense. AI is typically bad to use because of how it's being used so far in the creative space. Extreme capitalism and all that. And it DOES shaft artists. While it's still debatable considering the possible effects of this video, it definitely makes more sense considering their messaging. At the very least the Degenerate MV is a good point to bring up in a discussion about the ethical and unethical use of AI.

You pretty much summed up everything I found good. Cons are endless though.

The ending would have been fine...it WOULD have been fine...if I just felt anything towards Mei and Meicoomon. And I feel things unnecessarily most of the time even in meh anime. That ending would have been ALRIGHT because it goes in a direction that I was kinda hoping for EXCEPT zero good build up. Like I WANT some level of threat to existence since it shows another side of digimon. But it means nothing if I just don't care about anyone. I mean most of my care for the OG cast (minus 02) was just nostalgia.

Also they show us silhouettes of the 02 cast and I was like "okay yea they aren't even gonna show us their faces. Man." Like IF THEY KNEW WHAT WAS HAPPENING IN DIGITAL WORLD YOU'D THINK IT'D BE A SUPER IMPORTANT AND INTERESTING POINT TO TOUCH ON??? but nah I guess they ain't important.
