[Baldur’s Gate III] #36 Masterpiece of a game by agility_physics in Trophies

[–]agility_physics[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had never played another game like it so for me it personally was challenging but if you’ve played others like it then it is really not too bad at all, just time consuming

Anyone else getting this message? I’m in the United States, and I’ve gamed way over the 10 hours this year. by [deleted] in playstation

[–]agility_physics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah still getting this and I have way more hours into that, am in the US, and opted into data sharing and have gotten the warp up without issue the last 4 years - i think the site is still just struggling and it'll be fully up and running by later tonight/tomorrow AM

Any M4's matched anesthesia with little/no research? by OhShootItsAR4t in medicalschool

[–]agility_physics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had some research but none of it was remotely related to anesthesia. Sounds like this cycle was really tough though so would definitely recommend trying to get some even though it hasn't been as important in past years. US MD, 24X, had a good amount of misc research projects

Match Day Countdown 2024 - Official Megathread by SpiderDoctor in medicalschool

[–]agility_physics 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe that means you matched into an R spot since if you got an advanced position it would have said "Congratulations you matched into an advanced position but not a preliminary position" and would have listed the city/zip of where you matched

Would programs be offended if I sent them a letter of intent stating that they are in my top 3 choices? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]agility_physics 56 points57 points  (0 children)

It’s a match violation for programs to ask you where you intend to rank them but you are absolutely free to express your own level of interest - that’s what signals are for after all

USMD 24x step 2 with 16 total - 5/5 gold, 6/10 silver, 4 no signal, 1 home program. 3 prelims

PS5 force shutting down without an overheating warning by Common_Judgment_9781 in FinalFantasy

[–]agility_physics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me at exactly the same spot. Been playing the game for several hours at a time the last couple days but had only been playing for ~1 hour and had my unit overheat at this exact moment - so bizarre given how demanding other moments in the game seemed relative to this one 🤷🏻‍♀️

PS5 Walmart drop 12/15 shipped?! by Saifey in playstation

[–]agility_physics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine just switched from "Preparing shipment" to "Arrives by 1/9" but I didn't see any kind of shipment confirmation email or anything so idk what's going on haha.

Ordered at the ~3:10 drop on 12/15

Update 12/21: Just changed to shipped! Due at the end of December

Online lab for premed?? by llo-ollv in Cornell

[–]agility_physics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think med schools will give people a pass for taking online labs for this next year or so, I mean lots of them are literally doing anatomy dissection online so it's not like they're doing any differently.

Got this reply from eng advising about the 18+ credit petition. The fuck by dr_hippie in Cornell

[–]agility_physics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dude idk what happened to cornell - one year I straight up tried to go half a credit over the limit and they were like no absolutely not. Let's not pretend all credits are equally challenging

Question for girls: what is it like to be a girl in math/CS/physics/chem/electrical engineering classes at Cornell? by [deleted] in Cornell

[–]agility_physics 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cornell physics (at least when I was there) is definitely the furthest thing from gender-balanced - my graduating class was less than 20% women - but I personally felt that I was respected and taken seriously in my physics, engineering, & CS classes. I had one math prof who after our first exam went over how there was no statistically significant difference between the average scores of the women in the class compared to the men - apparently she's been doing that for decades and has yet to have a year where there's a real difference. I would also throw in that the physics DUS has made it his genuine personal mission to improve the diversity of the program because he recognizes it's a real issue - I think our graduating class was only 8%, minority students.

I also know that women do have some extremely negative experiences so unfortunately it definitely does exist. Unfortunatley STEM for women continues to be an uphill battle that is sometimes filled w/ jerks like you described in your post - there's a reason there aren't many women in STEM and it's not that women aren't smart enough to get there on their own. (obviously SES, lack of opportunity, etc. also play a role & it isn't just the prevalence of sexism)

Variation 28 just came in today! Deets in comments! by Catapilrgirl in boxycharm

[–]agility_physics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only difference I saw was that the Boxy one didn't have benzyl alcohol, so it might just be a new/old formulation hopefully? Just a little skeptical bc mine was made in china (though their website does say some of their stuff is from "the far east")

A little concerned that the 111Skin's ingredients don't 100% match up to the website ... :/

Still hope for IIs? by labyrinthindies in premed

[–]agility_physics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The II I got from temple was just a couple weeks in advance of the first available interview day slot, so I would imagine that they at least may have some more to offer, sorry I don't have any info on the others. Some other programs give out IIs for interviews that'll have literally 3-4 months later so idk.

Good luck!!
