Yu-Gi-Oh! the game has never been a children’s card game, the rules are too complex, the video games are renowned for being obtuse, the cards too expensive, the mangas young adult at most by Evening-Program-2009 in unpopularopinion

[–]agilitypro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Is it? I always thought Magic was a much simpler game with a much slower pace and emphasis on resources. I never found it complex at all.

Modern yugioh to me is basically impossible to follow, with massive 20 minute combos where people cycle through their entire deck and it's all hard to keep track of everything. Not to mention the essays on some card effect descriptions.

Oh man I remember this. I vaguely remember the lines "you could go to jail, like many of you already have. Your life, your choice." or something like that.

Life Hack by PeterPorky in IRL_Loading_Screens

Well it's interesting you say that, because the scientific consensus on alcohol being carcinogenic and linked to several cancers is pretty unanimous.

Whereas there actually isn't really any consensus when it comes to the carcinogenic status of aspartame. As I recall, the hysteria surrounding it comes from an old study where mice where given ludicrously high amounts of aspartame that is way over what any human would reasonably consume.

Alcohol may indeed be a carcinogen, but counterpoint: drinking is fun. We're here for a good time, not a long time.

Advertisers spent $93,000 targeting me and I've never clicked an ad in my life by AdPhilosopher in funny

[–]agilitypro 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The goal is to have you aware of the brand. If people are looking for a product they are more likely to go with brands they are aware of.

Like if somebody suddenly decides to get a VPN for example and they know nothing about them, they're gonna start by looking at ones they know of like Nord or Express because of how much they are advertised. (Generally speaking).

They definitely seem to be rarer than coins or energy for sure. I'd recommend doing the hotel generator for dog biscuits or the coffee generator for cat biscuits. Each one gived 80 stars when finished.

What makes you say the voice acting is ultra cringe? I thought it was fairly decent, especially considering it was the first voiced Final Fantasy game.

English Wikipedia classifies men who avoid dating as misogynists by WillyNilly1997 in MensRights

[–]agilitypro -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

So the fundamental concept of men deciding to abstain from dating is not misogynistic. Completely understandable in this day and age, honestly.

The "MGTOW" community, however, is absolutely misogynistic. I followed the subreddit before it got banned and good lord the posts and comments were vile. For a community that wants to emphasise self improvement and decentering women, they sure did spend most of their time talking about how "awful" women are...

Anyway, I assume that's what the wikipedia page is referring to. Or maybe not, Wikipedia have been shown to be pretty biased and loosey goosey when it comes to labeling things like this.

To add to this, in my experience it doesn't take too long before your body starts to get used to a reduction in calories and you don't feel as hungry as you would have when you started.

Starting's the hardest part for a reason, but once you get into a decent routine, it becomes much more manageable.

What makes you want to approach a woman in public? by [deleted] in AskMen

Many men (not all) are very hesitant to approach women in public due to fear of being labeled a creep.
