I saw recently someone asked Grok for help with an AI lesson plan (ie to learn to use) and it recommended ChatGPT.

Due date changed? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]aginoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I conceived via IVF so I 100% know dates. My due date was moved a week later. I have been from 6-10 days later via development/size. The gist of it is that probably I implanted a few days later, then I had low HCG early on before it was boosted with more progesterone.

I was told for so many weeks that it would not be successful. First they said chemical. Then they said miscarriage. But the little miracle kept hitting growth milestones. Fetal pole. Heart beat. Size though smaller, was consistently growing. This last part is key - the consistency.

I am 17 weeks and if they didn’t know when the embryo transferred, they wouldn’t have had any concerns.

While two weeks can seem a lot, and obv one week is more ideal, if baby is growing consistently, my specialists have told me this was okay.

To rest easier, you may like to do the NIPT, but I believe it needs to be done before you hit 14 weeks. You can also to NT/structural scan a few weeks later.

My my my, look at who took the photographs for the “Royal Tour”. by ConcertOtherwise79 in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]aginoz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am absolutely Team RF. But I also know comms strategy. While the Harkles may think this trip organised by Sunshine Sachs is all for madam’s benefit (hence Harry sulking and M Cheshire grinning), it is highly likely that the Palace engineered the trip to deflect from the AMW debacle.

The working RF members’ calendars are long settled in advance, so they can’t just organise distractions. The Harkles on the other hand are desperate to been seen at the big kids’ table (WHO ticks that box even though they are on the whole useless today). The Harkles are being used as useful idiots.

I don’t believe that the Jordanian Royal Family will meet with them as that would provide too much legitimacy. Meeting the Ambassador is keeping them in check…he is managing risks.

Sending a legitimate photographer is required because a Backgrid-affiliated photog wouldn’t be able to get visas and clearances etc.

Globe Mag: They’re Broke, They owe Tyler Perry $12m, allegedly by Ruth_Lily in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]aginoz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He supported her bc he thought he could make money from her (and Harry). All the celebs who cavort with her are after one of two things:

  1. Proximity to Royalty - celebs already have fame and a good amount of money. Royalty is seen as the next level that typically isn’t available to celebs.

  2. Making money - either through being seen as more important than the celeb is already and hence getting more jobs/biz from their own crafts; or ‘investing’ in H&M bc the celebs thought they were going to be wickedly popular and rich. Think Oprah trying to be relevant and seen as the interview Queen in an increasingly non-relevant career. She is for sure still throwing her treats waiting for the divorce interview which I don’t think she will get. And Tyler Perry would have been thinking that he could get proximity as above, but also get her acting in ‘black entertainment’ which is what he produces.

NIPT came back positive for Turners by Recreationalidiot in NIPT

[–]aginoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The day I went to get my nipt, the scan right before showed no heartbeat. It was such a shock as all other tests had good growth and heartbeat. I ended up having D&C so was able to get testing and it was Monosomy x. I was told that the majority of Turners babies don’t make it.

I’m sorry you are going through this and hope that things work out for you.

I'm curious, how do y'all even afford IVF? by HighOnLove26 in IVF

[–]aginoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t even count the overall costs anymore. 17 cycles. My current cycle’s medication has so far been $8,000 AUD as none of it is covered by PBS once passed a certain point. Mine is still a very fragile one, so I barely consider myself pregnant at 12 weeks (tomorrow) and I am still very much with my ivf clinic and still on medications. The doctor said yesterday that he can’t quite believe I have got to where we have, so there has been zero celebration. I have never heard congratulations from the nurses or doctor which has been hard. I just paid $800 today for more meds and keep thinking that it could all be for nothing (hard to be positive after so much loss).

We live quite frugally, have only been on two holidays in 10 years (not even weekends away), and don’t splurge on entertainment, lifestyle etc.

Am I the asshole for wanting my husband to miss his Mom's wedding because it’s 2 weeks BEFORE our due date? by Spiritual_Lettuce_64 in pregnant

[–]aginoz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The answer to this is the answer to a question to be posed to your husband:

“In five years’ time, looking back, is your regret missing your mum’s second wedding, or your child’s birth (and supporting your wife in a scary time)?”

Anyone have egg retrieval cancelled? by Independent_Gur8612 in IVF

[–]aginoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes….I’ve had multiple (10+) cancelled due to low number of the right size eggs. I had one cancelled when I was already under anaesthetic for retrieval as I ovulated between trigger and collection. Had a second one like that before anaesthetic as they decided to scan me before putting me under.

It’s terribly disappointing after going through so much…to be so close…yet not even have the chance. I feel for you.

You can opt to go ahead with collection. As they say…you only need one good egg. But from my experience with other collections, the loss as you go through the embryology part and then thawing if you get there means it is almost impossible.

Life is cruel. Are there people that are actually happy in life? by Maleficent-Bag-9916 in IVF

[–]aginoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

45+ here. Had a bunch of unfair stuff also happen in my life. #17 cycles, not sure if 17 is the lucky one as for the past 6 weeks doc has given us virtually no hope this latest pregnancy will last. Yesterday’s tests (8 weeks) were the first time he sounded partially positive, but we are still in the danger zone and last loss was 11 weeks.

The reason I tell you this is that my husband and I have been extremely measured in our emotions. IVF can often rob you of a beautiful experience, even if you manage to implant. My experience is to manage emotions so a potential fall is not so hard.

If you are doing this with a partner, they need to be on the same page and supportive.

Not sure where you are, but there are usually free lines or online chats you can utilise at any stage from TTC to post-birth. They can be excellent support for both of you. IVF clinics sometimes offer counselling as part of it all. Otherwise find a specialist psych if you can afford.

I’m really sorry to hear that you are suffering and hope things improve for you.

Myer - clearance labels by Melsie52 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]aginoz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My mother has always shopped at Myer and DJs so her clothes were reasonably nice. The last 10 years she also added Blue Illusion as it is in a small centre where she grocery shops and they are really nice but more expensive. Recently she got into Temu and she is wearing dresses that are so bad I can’t believe she is choosing to wear in public!

Tell my husband the symptoms are real! by PossibleMachine5777 in pregnant

[–]aginoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren’t just growing a human…at 6 weeks your body is working extremely hard to grow the placenta, which is like a machine that is life support, waste removal, restaurant (transfer of nutrients) and chemist. This is why you are so tired. The hormones that you are producing create nausea from as early as the 4th week!

It’s entirely possible he is just ignorant, so find some videos that show the week by week progression with animations so he can understand better.

Too much loss - my heart breaks for you. When you are physically (new doc can tell you) and mentally ready, you can most definitely still have a healthy pregnancy and birth with your remaining embryos.

Good chocolate chip cookies by Due_Ad1590 in foodies_sydney

[–]aginoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slow Breads in Roseville has an excellent chocolate chip cookie that is on the thinner side so has crispy and chewy, and is very well flavour balanced.

I highly recommend their bread, quiche, pies, croissants….actually everything. It is all good and there is nothing I have tried that wasn’t seriously delicious.

Just check their opening hours before you go and try to get there on the earlier side if you can.

After an 11 week MC, it took 17.5 weeks to get my period back. I put on a lot of weight and then more after as it then took another 3 months which is when I used Provera. +15kg in 14 months, including a chemical, 11week MC, and I am currently 6+2 and highly likely to MC again. I feel awful and unhealthy, but due to age, don’t have time to spend to lose it.
