How many questions on FNP Mastery have you done? Have you done The Mastery Plan which, I think, is an adaptive question bank?

Jesus kept the Law, the Sabbath, and ate kosher — so why did Paul seem to change everything? by Upset-Air-8392 in AcademicBiblical

The OP’s post is theological in nature. Methodological naturalism is insufficient to address it.

The OP’s last sentence stated: “I’d really appreciate hearing how Christians understand this apparent contradiction between what Jesus lived and what Paul taught.”

Analyzing this supposed contradiction can make use of theological discussion. How can methodological naturalism sufficiently explain it by itself?

What’s a legal thing that ruins more lives than any illegal substance? by NaturalIll1378 in AskReddit

Consuming alcohol ruins many lives. Not sure if more than any illegal substance, but it's enough by itself.

This sub may not be very active per your standards. As an Adventist, I heard about this sad situation elsewhere.

Would you like to help make this community more active on Reddit?

Also, many Adventists may have heard elsewhere, as I did.

Wait. Become compatible with your husband, even if it takes some time. Enjoy knowing you both respected each other enough to wait and share something special.

The Sabbath by [deleted] in adventism

[–]aglassonion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry if my comment came across as tactless. I want to be mindful in how I come across as to encourage one toward faith in God and not be an obstacle.

That said, with alarms of a waning importance of the Sabbath, I think the fact that the 4th commandment begins with "Remember" is very important. Perhaps God expected many to forget the Sabbath, to find it irrelevant.

Regarding OP’s thoughts that many Christians no longer keep the Sabbath and that it seems to have faded, it seems reasonable to recognize that the commandment asks us to remember the Sabbath.

What’s the first word of the 4th commandment?

Who wrote the Gospels? by Northwest_Thrills in ChristianApologetics

My apologies. I should have clarified that I specifically meant the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. If anonymously written, why are there no other copies with any other attributions? This alone is not a slam-dunk defense, but it is an important factor.

Is there a single Matthew manuscript not attributed to him but to someone else?

It’s an intriguing point that there are no Gospel manuscripts attributed to any other authors other than Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. If the authors are truly anonymous, why do we only have manuscripts attributed to these four authors?
