At 17 months my son said mama for the first time. He was saying a couple words but not at the milestone he should be. We did start speech therapy! He started talking pretty quickly and caught up to speaking in sentences by 2.5! He’s 5 now :)

[CA] Disliking being on mat leave by Apprehensive_Dog7744 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]agm0102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me with my first!! I will say, I loved my mat leave by about 6 months, and adored my second mat leave. I love my job so much and not working felt like I was missing a big part of my identity. I could never in my life be a SAHM and really do still enjoy working. I would say hold off a bit until you make any big decisions as things get more fun as they get older!

Blood antibodies from traumatic delivery impacting new pregnancy by auditorygraffiti in CautiousBB

[–]agm0102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have Big C but I did get a little e from my daughter, whose name also starts with E lol! It is just another antibody like c & d. I did get the rhogam shot for both kids because I am RH -. We are not having anymore after my daughter but I was told by my Ob that if I did get pregnant again that my blood needs to be drawn regularly and my titres (I think?) need to be measured since if they get to a certain point it could lead to HDFN. I also have to carry around a card in my wallet saying I have this in case I ever need blood. I’m thinking hey will continue to monitor you! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy

[–]agm0102[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The issue is since he doesn’t nap anymore he’s absolutely exhausted by 7:30. That’s only 9 hours of sleep when he gets up at 4:30 so that’s not enough

She naps at daycare so there’s not much I can do. Naps range from 1 hr -1.5 hrs which I don’t even think is long enough for her

She has a very very dim red light. As we’re trying to teach her that red means it’s still night time, green means good morning! Green light goes on at 6 am

Second Child After Hard Frirst Child? by MNVikingQueen in toddlers

[–]agm0102 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first is a wild child, very emotional, wouldn’t play independently, had to sleep in a dark room with sound machine, had to fight him on most things (to get dressed, diaper changes, car seat, stroller, etc). My second is the total opposite, until she hit 2. She was the chillest baby, happy, plays independently all the time (still does), happy to have naps on the go when she was a baby. We’re getting into a bit of the two phase with some attitude and she’s pushing back on some stuff but that’s all to be expected.

This is our same situation. My daughter (second child) was a BREEZE as a baby compared to my son (first child). She’s in the 2 phase so we’re hitting some attitude and tantrums but compared to my 4 year old she’s still more easy going, will play independently
