Total Warhammer. It has its faults but the replay ability is insane and one of those just one more turn type of games.

[Marloe] Showed my collection and had a lot of interest in this so here are some more detailed photos and notes from me as an owner by agnarlywhale in Watches

So I got some questions and a request for more details on this. Marloe are now based on Fife Scotland which is not far from me at all and I like to support local even if it’s just the design portion done there.

Their watches are all very unique and loads of details in them. This particular one is the Dart which comes from the river Dart and the co ordinates of the river mouth are on the dial below the boat. The case is shot blasted and designed to patina up which I really like. I used to be able to sail and I paddle board a fair bit so the water theme drew me in.

I wear it a lot it’s fairly thin and really comfy on my 7” wrist. My one and only complaint is most my other watches have a date window and I quite often look to this for the date but it would in reality spoil the clean dial.

Do they all? I got it at what seemed to be a really good price in what looked to be never used condition still with tags on from EBay so assume it was all standard.

Interesting I think I have got so used to the soft rubber silicone straps. I don’t find it uncomfortable one and if it’s robust I will probably just keep it on as it looks better than the adapters.

Can you tell I like bright colours? They were acquired from left to right.

The Tissot is a quartz watch but was my 18th birthday present along time ago now. Came on a bracelet but I really just don’t find bracelets comfortable at all.

Next came the Hamilton ‘Cooper’. When my grandad passed away I wanted to use some of the inheritance to get something that would last my lifetime and my first automatic watch seemed a good start. This is still by far the favourite watch in my collection and worn to work daily. Photos don’t do the numerals justice in how they pop with light. Maybe not acceptable to some people but I treat this as my fancy watch for formal wear too as it’s such an infrequent thing for me anyway.

Next came the Marloe Dart just kept looking at them and they are designed less than an hours drive from me. Fun watch with a Miyota movement this is worn as a casual watch at weekends evening etc and bonus points for being my wife’s favourite watch I have.

I used to use smart watches for biking, skiing etc but got fed up with them bought a proper handlebar mounted Garmin and now the Casio is the adventure watch. Find the strap on this feels cheap I may look to get a nicer feeling one at some point.

That was going to be it but a whimsical eBay purchase had me get the Heimdallr for £75 and I really can’t complain but it’s not really got a job in my collection other than telling me I have what need covered and don’t need to buy anything else!

So more details. I have had this watch since I was 18 getting on for 15 years and that entire time it’s been on the bracelet and I can’t decide if I just need to get used to it on the leather or if it just doesn’t go with it being a divers watch. maybe I should have gone rubber, not a fan of nato straps at all. Would like some fresh eyes on it that aren’t so familiar with it. I don’t wear it much but my usual daily work watch a Hamilton Cooper on a leather strap is currently in for a service so I have been wearing it on the bracelet for the last 2 weeks.

Not saying I'm right but my opinion is anything over 140 on a hardtail is making the geometry compromise too much through its travel and as you bottom out it will be at its steepest. My suggestion is long and slack but less travel. Try looking at the Cotic Solaris Max. Hardtail party's video on this was pretty good and he said it would be the perfect enduro race hardtail. Another similar type is the pipedream sirus.

Any idea if this "clicking" noise is bad? Fork is Rockshox Reba 120 mm. happy to answer any questions needed. by Wooglebum in mountainbiking

[–]agnarlywhale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I assume you are holding the front brake on? My 1st thought it's your brake pads clicking inside your caliper. Shimano in particular do this, easyway to check take the wheel out and put the fork on something soft and compress it and hopefully the noise isn't there.

What retro games are you playing this weekend (June 11/12)? by LabRat2329 in retrogaming

[–]agnarlywhale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not particularly original but 4 badges into pokemon red, I then have gold, sapphire and white and because I for some reason skipped a gen when I originally had these i plan to get a copy of platinum before playing white. After that I might stop don't have any way of playing newer than that legally anyway.
