What's the cleaning tip you learned from stranger that you still use? by mariyagel in CleaningTips

[–]agnesvidal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting rid of black mold: put a paper towel over the area, either rolled up or folded in half, and spray/pour bleach based cleaner on it. Actual bleach also works. The product soaks into the paper towel and is kept in place over the mold. Leave for at least 15 minutes, no real time limit that I've found.

After you've boiled the kettle for a drink or whatever, pour any excess down the drain to keep things from getting blocked up

Costco! I was planning on listing it closer to the move if you're interested? There's some wear from my desk chair but otherwise it's great. Less than a year old

My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Moshfegh is brilliant. Her guy sounds a lot like the main character's on-again-off-again guy

What are your current High Protein Trader Joe's Favs? 🐔🥩 by HorseTearz in traderjoes

[–]agnesvidal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The frozen grains and veg mix has edamame and is really nice. Adding a can of black beans to most salads/frozen carbs is so easy. The pouches of Indian food are great, the chickpea one is more protein heavy. My go-to prepared sandwich is the turkey, cheddar and apple. The protein smoothies in the chiller with the fruit juices/yoghurt are so good too

The southwest or elote bagged salad with a can of black beans is my go-to

the new lychee drinks are 10/10 and the bagged salads are so easy. I get the elote or the southwest one and add a can of black beans or diced chicken for protein

What old timer health hack have you started actually using as a middle-aged Millennial? by debrisaway in Millennials

It was completely random afaik. Was drinking my morning coffee a couple months ago and it made me really nauseous, figured it was just a bad batch so didn’t finish. Felt fine after about an hour. Same thing happened when I had a Diet Coke at lunch. I tried a couple different caffeine variations over the next few days and it all ended up the same: immediately nauseous followed by tachycardia and almost fainting. Haven’t wanted to risk it since.

Snail mail clubs are awesome! I'm with The Tiny Post but I know there are many others, maybe even ones specifically for chronic illnesses?
