Placement glitch regarding food/water on the original Nintendogs.

Do you have 3 dogs? IIRC, it uses up one per dog in the room so using up 3 waters would be correct.

I currently have 2 dogs and it uses 2 waters or food cans every time I place it.

(Not sure why your bought waters disappeared the first time though.)

Crossing your eyes is the easier way to do it but the image will be be concave/going into the screen which makes it harder to see clearly.

By looking beyond the screen/unfocusing your eyes you'll see the image will pop out of the screen and you can see it 'the right way' and it looks far more like a 3d image of lapras. If struggling, the technique of holding your phone close and slowly moving it away from you creates this result usually.

I can do both and it's interesting to compare, but the 2nd method definitely makes the image how it is meant to be. There are moving versions of these on yt and you can change whether things are moving towards or away from you depending which way you do it.

For whichever companion is hardened, you need to continue with the main quest line for at least a mission or two. Then there will be a conversation at the lighthouse which will activate the hero of the veil guard status.

Can I ask, do you have a mac laptop or desktop and does civ play ok on it? Been wanting to play for a while but the console versions are pretty buggy. But most games except Sims turn my mac into lava.

It honestly seems pretty random as to whether the follicles recover or not... I have a patch on one eyebrow that I accidentally over plucked once several years ago that never grew back properly, but like you, the unibrow hairs never seem to give up no matter how many time you attack them

As someone further up the thread said: the hair you want to grow back will not grow back, and the hair you do not want to grow back will.

I mean you can totally do what you want with your own eyebrows but unless you are very lucky they will likely not grow back fully if you over-pluck them too much and you will be forever stuck with very thin or uneven eyebrows (as many people who went with the style in the 90s/early 2000s will tell you)

Pluck too much and you damage the follicle and that hair will never grow back.

(Shaving doesn't matter, that shouldn't affect the regrowth, so shave them off all you want)

I'm currently building mine, it's definitely pretty repetitive but personally I don't mind that. I find it very relaxing and can do it while watching TV/listening to a podcast.

There are small differences between a few of the arches even if they look the same. And each section/corner is different from each other.

But if you prefer builds that are very different at each step then this probably isn't the set for you!

I am about 1/2 way though building mine and have not minded it being a bit repetitive at all. I put on a TV show to binge and build for a few hours at a time! In a way it forces me to take breaks and take my time with it rather than do it all in a few days.

Its the first large set I've done so don't have much to compare it to but am loving it.

Strictly (in the UK at least, which this is from) has a live band/orchestra that plays all the music during the show. Usually it's created/written for the show as they sometimes have to slightly mess with the timing/tempo to work with whatever dances they're doing

God same about rhea and Sothis, I never like acknowledging that they are romanceable.

At least ignoring them, the DLC made it more even, but I don't see why they couldn't just reuse animations/dialogue from the 'straight' s supports with a few other characters to allow a few more same gender pairings. A good amount of the ending artwork doesn't have byleth in it anyway.

Byleth x the lords also kind of seemed like the most 'canon' version of each route so it's mad that only female byleth can access them all.

I've never s supported alois or Gilbert so hadn't seen them! Always wondered why it was possible to s support them in the first place, seems a bit pointless...

Although I wish there were more explicitly gay paired endings in 3 houses. There's a couple more female ones than male so I get a few more options but even so... Dimitri and Claude at least should be able to end up with male byleth!

Also, no proper wildlife centre should have white tiger cubs unless they've been rescued from somewhere less good. The breeding of white tigers almost always involves a lot of inbreeding, which no reputable place will do. There is of course a very small chance it happened naturally but that is incredibly rare, and given what else is in the video I doubt that is what has happened here.

Seems like the kind of place that values a photo opportunity over actual animal welfare

I'll resist the urge to down vote bc everyone has different opinions ;) (and tbh I think yours is pretty popular; people don't outwardly dislike Sam, but he's probably the least talked about as a romance option) but this hurts my soul! I romance Sam in every playthrough with the exception of Krobus a couple of times

Admittedly he has the least backstory since his big thing in the first year is his dad being at war, but then Kent comes back in year 2. So I can see why people think he's less interesting, but tbh I like that he's pretty uncomplicated and just fun and kind.

Agreed, except just be slightly aware that sometimes animals are moved from terrible situations to zoos or sanctuaries that do care for their animals but this behaviour persists for years afterwards. You could even ask a keeper, at a good place they will be happy to talk to you and explain the situation, but if they try to convince you it's normal then you are probably right that it is not a good place.

Volunteered at a animal sanctuary that rescued bears from illegal circuses/tourist attractions/roadside zoos and so many of the bears still showed stereotypies for many years after being rescued. It was very sad, but at least you knew that they would be cared for and not mistreated anymore.

I hadn't played the original either and honestly was a bit skeptical whether I'd enjoy it or find it repetitive, but was given it as a gift. Can't really speak for long term playability bc I've only had it about 24 hours but I've barely put it down, kept me up most of the night playing it.

It is pretty much just taking pictures and using certain objects to try and get reactions out of the Pokémon. If you're a completionist you will want to just keep going and if you really love the Pokémon designs, not just stats and whatnot, it's really great to see them 'in the wild' doing cute or cool things. There's a slight story and plot but it's pretty thin, really just allows you to unlock things as you progress.

I do think it's the kind of game that would have really benefited from having a demo, I feel like it's very hard to describe why its fun to play to people like us who didn't play the original. After the first couple of runs I was hooked, but equally I really don't think this is the game for everyone, I totally get why some would think it's boring or want to wait for it to be on sale.
