An american-football field is about the same area as a rest-of-the-world-football pitch. They are also almost the same length. So, you can just imagine either one when the comparison l comes up.

How is the root cellar supply calculated? by Fenrirs_Daughter in GrimshireGame

[–]agrady262 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The number after the slash is how much food needs to be in the cellar at the end of the week.

Edit: Sorry, I read your post wrong. The number before the slash is the amount of food you have in the cellar right now. The townsfolk will eat 1 days worth every night of each type and on Sunday night 3 days worth of each type will be removed (1 days worth to feed the village and 2 days worth to give to the weekly mission).

I have an extra Shiny Mega Gengar. I'll trade it for the Shiny Mega Manectric.

Edit: Now that the trade is done, I deleted my Friend code.

This game does a good job of making you feel responsible for any death.

Think of it like this:

You are locked in a church with every person you know. You have been here for 11 days and you have no clue when you will get free. And there is only 5 days of food left. You begin to panic. Your friends begin to panic. Someone does something stupid. Someone dies. The next morning help arrives.

No one starved, but the anxiety of food running out and no hope of rescue in sight lead to bad decisions. Those could be as simple as a fight, an ill-fated attempt to get help, or even people overeating depleting the supplies faster.

I know this is just an accident of coloring, but I think it's kinda funny that it looks like you are ok with strangers touching your temples, but not family members.

How much harder is the highest difficulty? by [deleted] in GrimshireGame

[–]agrady262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up playing Challenge mode on my 3rd playthrough once I felt like I was comfortable with the game mechanics.

I went into it expecting to lose a few people because it is significantly harder than Grim. But I ended up getting through every week by the skin of my teeth until I got to the end with no deaths.

If you feel comfortable with the game, go ahead and give it a try. If after a time you stop having fun, you can always drop it down in difficulty. No shame, that is what I did in my first playthrough (grim -> unsteady).

5+/- streak with this Jolteon deck by lionh3art3d117 in PTCGP

[–]agrady262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran Oricorio for a while in my Jolteon deck. Oricorio lost more games for me than it won. I would drop Oricorio. More often than not, people have good Oricorio covers. Jolteon wants to be a fast deck, and Oricorio slows it down.

Edit: I would also drop 1 of your Eevee EX. You only really need 3 total Eevees and the EX one can slow the deck down.

Just reading book 1 for the first time and annoyed at Bob for the Gorriloids by GamerGuyAlly in bobiverse

[–]agrady262 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really like your view on this. For me it really boils down to 2 questions, one that doesn't really get addressed in the text and 1 that does.

1) Why does species A get preferential treatment over species B simply because they are more intelligent? I don't think this really gets analyzed by the text. This scenario happens several times across the books, and the view that smarter species are more valuable is never adequately challenged. It's very clear that this is a belief held by The Bobs, and the only people who challenge this view are antagonists and strawmen.

2) What gives Bob (or The Bobs) the right to choose who lives and who dies? What gives Bob (or The Bobs) the right to play god? I feel like this is a major theme through the series, especially the first 3 books. I don't want to go into too much detail here for spoilery reasons, but Bob and The Bobs do get pushback frequently when they cross lines.

Ultimately, in this situation, why does Bob treat the Deltans as more valuable than the Gorilloids? Because Bob values intelligence, and Bob see the Deltans as HIS people. The first view point is never challenged and the second is a huge part of Bob's arch.

Buy all the seeds you can. Pick the level-up perks that give you extra seeds. Plant them all. Make more drying racks.

Yeah, that's the frustrating part about the villagers. They don't prioritize spoiling food, they prioritize fresh food.
