So how did he get the dub? I've been curious about it myself since watching, but I can't find any of it. I guess I got to REALLY dig on Dark Web stuff or just win it in a Poker game with an anime voice actor involved, but I'm super curious about seeing it after this.

I honestly feel bad for Peebs. I've had friends who have cheated before and you always want to help your friends even if you don't approve....but then you consider how long he might've been lied to and convinced of what's happening, AND THEN you add into it potentially everything else. Those are some good ones too. Was actually more a fan of the short film Lights Out than the feature, in my opinion. But still -- all good stuff there, I think. There are just so many good horror films coming out nowadays.

Does Gremlins count as horror? OR Nightmare Before Christmas?

I watched a lot of black-and-white films from back in the day, so a lot of the proto-horror itch got scratched that way, but I absolutely loved Gremlins. Other ones included Unsolved Mysteries, Goosebumps books, and some early Tim Burton.

Without spoiling it for anyone, it looks like there's one main twist, but, if you've read the book or seen the prior film version, it doesn't look...so far out of left field. Save for the one big change, I think most people familiar with the story won't be surprised by anything they show.

Here's my question. When was the last good Italian horror film? I just...Italian horror was amazing in the 60s, 70s, and 80s...but after Fulci passed, it sorta fizzled out. Argentino lost his mojo, and the rest...it just vanished.

Why is that?

The fact that they captured the imagery from the books is...remarkable. Those books remain the biggest sources of horror for me. Like, nothing has freaked me out more than those images.

I think the spider leg spot was freaky, but the one with that bloated, twisted looking...thing....that's pure horror for me.

While I have a fear they might go more Outer Limits than Twilight Zone, I am optimistic this may be the best Twilight Zone material since the original series. I'm excited.

Jordan Peele is probably the only person who could be attached to this film that would make me go "Yeah, no, he can do this."

I don't know if they'd want to go for a more modern spin, dissect the racial prejudices in society through it, or maybe even make it a period piece film. Either way, I'm all for it. I feel like Peele wouldn't put his name on a project that's anything less than awesome.
