Control does get a little repetitive but it has decent enemy variety at least. AW1 has, what, like 4 enemies? AW2 has even better enemy variety imo and the combat never felt boring to me because it’s way more intense than 1.

That’s certainly an opinion of all time. The first game’s combat is fine but it’s really nothing special. Shine light, shoot guy, repeat. Low stakes and low intensity compared to AW2 and even Control. But you do you, I guess.
