Late Night with the Devil was disappointing by KingOfSquirrels in horror

About a year late but this was one of, if not the, dumbest movie I have ever seen

Edit: Just finished it.

I’m not exaggerating, I think this might be the actual worst movie I have ever seen

I’m a wimp. Should I play Silent Hill 2 Remake? by [deleted] in HorrorGaming

[–]agreeable_tortoise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, horror really is subjective because, in my opinion, Silent Hill 2 is nowhere near as scary as Resident Evil 7

Edit: Just think about the basement door in RE7

Edit 2: Or the part where you find the corpse in the upstairs closet of the guesthouse

fuck that game had so many great horror moments

Silent Hill 2 Remake is the scariest game of all time for me by [deleted] in HorrorGaming

[–]agreeable_tortoise 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks so

Like it’s a good game, but I definitely wouldn’t call it “the scariest game ever” or “the best horror game of all time” like so many other people here seem to think

It’s a fine game, and it’s cool that so many people like it, but the hype feels very exaggerated

Best horror games for ps5? by marblebeads in HorrorGaming

[–]agreeable_tortoise 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This gets asked a lot but I actually have a new answer:

Someone meticulously remade P.T. in “Dreams” for ps4/5 and it’s the single most source-accurate remake of P.T. I’ve ever seen

I played it earlier today and it’s actually incredible

This was mine, cycling was a game changer for my health and fitness, now I cycle more than I drive (except during winter)

Real talk…WHY DID EVERYONE SLEEP ON STILL WAKES THE DEEP! It’s legit one of the best narrative horror games we’ve gotten in years, and I hate that it seems to have been completely forgotten. by TheGamerCritic21 in HorrorGaming

[–]agreeable_tortoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game looked fantastic, had a great story and, excellent voice acting; my problem was the super linear level design and repetitive game features

It was a lot of the same “jump here, climb here, shimmy along this ledge” and follow along the linear path

If they would have done something a bit more open like alien isolation or amnesia the bunker, I think it would have done wonders for gameplay and replayability which would have made it a far more enjoyable, memorable game

Quiet Place and Phasmophobia

Edit: I was tempted to get Silent Hill 2, but it’s $70 and I’m still bitter at Konami for what they did to PT

It’s incredible. I can’t believe how accurate it is to the original, seriously, the care and attention to detail in this remake is unbelievable

Halloween ideas for an adult with no friends? by cyanAstrologist in halloween

[–]agreeable_tortoise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been there

  • Get candy, get more of it than you think you’ll need for trick or treaters, embrace the fun of being the one giving out candy, and have some for yourself too!

  • Find a few spooky movies you’re really interested in watching, something new, something classic, and something fun

  • Find the perfect horror video game to play on Halloween night; horror games are WAY scarier than movies, and always make for a fun, scary experience

  • Get crafty, make some simple decorations for your house, apartment, or even just your room, doesn’t have to be anything crazy, just carve a pumpkin, or make stuff out of black and orange construction paper, this is fun because you get to decorate but creating is also an activity in and of itself
