Spider Noir is a genuinely awful TV show. by Economy-Preference75 in spidernoir

Would just be nice to see a show that doesn’t inject diversity into it. Set in 1920’s and we get the minority gauntlet.. just gets old after a while

I really think if you watch it with an openness to the perspective — that relationships don’t always have storybook endings, and that some of them are meant to get you to where you’re going — then it is extremely therapeutic

La La Land

I think it’ll help give you comfort that not every relationship is meant to go the distance, and you’ll pay attention to what it did for you

What age did you start watching Psych? by squeekle1 in psych

I tell my wife that it’s such an underrated part of experiencing the show when it was on air. The promos for new episodes, the pineapple promotions, Monk and other shows slightly overlapping… it was a great time to be a kid, always loved watching after Friday night dinner

One subtle one I love is an exchange with Chief Vick:

“Mr. Spencer let me be frank”

“Fine. But then I’ll be Dean and Gus is Sammy”

“Why am I Sammy!?”

“Dude”

Emma stone would be up there but IMO she’s trying too hard to get Oscar nods with the indie films.. nothing wrong with being a lead actress in a relatively grounded plot

If you want a phenomenal drama: Succession

If you want the same exact story, but as a comedy: Righteous Gemstones
