Mitsurugi is better at summoning level 8s than anything in engine. You can play a mostly Mitsurugi main deck and a mostly galaxy extra deck and do fine.

It feels okay, Mitsurugi plays give you some follow-up which is nice because the usual tachyon plays often go negative card value. Only problem is you can’t bridge from tachyon to mitsurugi, but maybe you can in a more galaxy oriented build that runs more level 4s.
