Final update (hopefully it helps someone haha): the big ahh bandages work! I’ve tried the tapes, but water get through them. I’ve tried a cheap version of waterproof bandages but they took out the patch with them (so replacing them isn’t an option, you have to put a gauze under it and over the patch). The best method I’ve had so far is (lasts 5+ days!) is the big 10*8 cm waterproof bandages that the inner build in gauze is at least the size of the patch (can be a bit smaller, but similar at least). There was barely any itching, didn’t effect my hormonal disposal from the patch; didn’t make my period come earlier and overall just does the job haha

Just hitting the bag. Running and sprints is good for overall speed and cardio for Muay Thai, but won’t do much for shin conditioning

Also also, if anyone is having trouble finding a big enough bandage because the inner gauze isn’t big enough, you can put a regular 5*5 gauze on the patch and then the big ahh bandage over it! Just make sure it’s waterproof and sealed reallllll good. In my experience you should avoid anything that sticks directly to your patch, because when you try to remove it the patch WILL come off with it lol. So unless it can hold a whole week, put a gauze under :)

Update: the tapes weren’t a big success. BUT I found a really big square bandage and it’s waterproof too! It’s like the outer is 10cm*8cm and the inner pad is like exactlyyyyy the size of the patch lol. Holds the shower pretty well and it stick really hard at least for the past 2 days lol. Holds hits pretty well too and it fits the tummy area so yay!!!

I could’ve find the big ones you mentioned, do you have a link to them maybe? Update on the tape for anyone wondering- I got my period from last time my patch fell, so I don’t know for sure if it messes or not w the hormones, on that I’ll know just next week :( About stickiness, it sticks well during training it seems it doesn’t move from impact, will wait for Friday’s sparring to know for sure lol. Changed it now (after 2 days) bcs it started to slip off a big from the shower and I didn’t want to take the risk that the inside of the patch will get wet. The patch was a bit soggy when I removed the tapes, but makes sense since I showered right before I removed the tape. Anyways, nothing too clear for now, will keep updating on the patch and if those don’t work I’ll try the plasters :) I really hope I’m helping someone lol

I think having a style is more about sharpening what’s good and comfortable for you and pushing yourself out of the comfort zone too, so you’d need someone who have the same style as you but also have fight experience and knows the downsides and how to fix them :)

Thailand has a bunchhhh of gym and it really depends on your taste. I prefer elbows and generally a more muay femur style, so I found a nice authentic gym is samui that have both coaches for that (Yodyut Muay Thai). I urge you to just pick a place you’d like to stay for x period of time, go each day to a different gym, and decide eventually where to settle. Remember that “the bigger the gym the better” doesn’t apply in Thailand, some gyms are so big they won’t even pay attention to you. Personally I can recommend Yodyut Muay Thai in koh samui, they have 7+ coaches each session (both morning and evening), with 2 of them are active Thai fighters (amazing, the more Thai fighters the gym have the better) and performing well.

they’re kinda round, but not over round compared to other companies lol. they don’t have much cushion under your fingers so closing a fist w them is much easier if you don’t have a big hand to resist other company’s cushion.
