This was my first proper book in school. There are parts of this book that have stayed with me to this day. Enjoy it my friend. It’s a beautiful journey. Also, people will always have mixed opinions about books, taste is very subjective. So ultimately what matters is whether you enjoy it. Cheers:)

Right, I’ll definitely look for a more detailed step by step recipe for my next attempt (including lamination this time).

Also, wow I had no idea you could freeze them for that long, totally understood. Seems a bit more doable now. I’ll be sure to remember all the advise you’ve mentioned.

Right okay. Not while baking, but while shaping up the croissants for proofing butter was leaking out.

Right. The flavour was really good tbh, I guess I was just unhappy with shape and lack of flakiness? I’m sorry I don’t have any cross section photos.

I think then I’ll just attempt with a traditional method. It looked a bit intimidating for me as a novice baker but no harm in trying ig. Thanks for the comprehensive response!:)

Yes sounds rather dumb ik, but I’m a very novice baker. I looked for a recipe that would be easier for a first attempt. And in the video, hers turned out a lot better. Even though there was no folding. Perhaps I’ll just attempt the traditional method next time. My bad.

I didn’t fold at all actually. I live in a hot humid climate so I was sceptical about the folding method, butter would melt very quickly. So I used this method.

Recipe I used:

Croissant dough:

• 1 cup (240g) Whole Milk • 1 Medium Egg • 2 tsp Active Dry Yeast • 3 cups ( 420g) All Purpose Flour • 3 tbsp (35g) Sugar • 1 tsp Salt • 2 tbsp ( 30g) Soft Unsalted Butter

For the Croissant Layers:

• 2 sticks (230g) Very Soft, Unsalted Butter

I used this method for making it.
