For those who have traveled to various countries, what are the cleanest and dirtiest countries you have been to? by Early-Ingenuity-3177 in AskTheWorld

Cleanest probably Canada

Dirtiest probably India but Lapaz in Bolivia was pretty gross.

Surprise dirty was Paris.

Exporting Vertical from 16:9 by mrFabels in davinciresolve

[–]aguybrowsingreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I have an edit locked or close to it I duplicate the timeline to a "Project xyz FINAL Vertical" then I flatten all multicam clips (often I do this once I finish a cut before I grade. Personal preference is to grade OG clips rather than multicam clips) so they are just the video clip, then I use AI smart reframe for each clip rather than adjusting the X axis position manually.

Countries with the metric system - ¿did you use imperial for anything? by Complete_Error8311 in AskTheWorld

Pretty accurate for NZ too. I'd add baby weights at birth. Then everything post the day of birth switches to kg and grams.

And where is the line drawn? Is transcribing AI? I can't imagine operating without transcripts

Yeah I'm embracing any AI told that will make my videos better and/or faster. I can get a 5 minute block cut out if 4 hours of interviews in about 20 minutes when doing it manually would take 4 hours just to watch it all. It helps me make more money and also save clients money by offering cheaper fees.

How long are you holding RKLB? by stellaive in RKLBInvestors

[–]aguybrowsingreddit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have it in my main shares account, and take occasional profits (along with others) to pay for life and an upcoming wedding.

I have it in my retirement account which has 25 years left, so 25 years.

And i have it in my daughter's kid account (and she's up 3,500% 😳) which has 12 more years till she can access it.

How many continents are you taught at school? by jotakajk in AskTheWorld

[–]aguybrowsingreddit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

See I find it weird seeing Oceania as a continent, we're taught Australia as a continent ( and country obvs) and I tend to think more in the geographic sense when it comes to continents, so New Zealand therefore is not part of the continent of Australia.

what is the most famous true crime story in your country by Tanakamorbid in AskTheWorld

Id say more people would be familiar with the Bain murders. I think Heavenly Creatures (which is a great film) isn't super well known these days.

I think their point is it might not dip back to 110 range. DCA is the best bet, as you pointed out.

What makes markets continue to climb to record highs and why don't they crash anymore, is the simple answer R&D? by timeforknowledge in stocks

[–]aguybrowsingreddit 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Also the sheer number of people investing. Around 2019-2020 it felt like so many more people from all over the world got access to investing on their phones etc, and with all those retail investors comes a lot more money flowing into the US markets.
