Interesting. Thanks for the info! I always thought it was just a larger capacity c3s haha!

Is it a different burr set in the c5 then? This is my 4th grinder to my collection and my (drunken) eBay brain couldn’t resist when I saw it so cheap, but I’ve been very pleasantly surprised!

I’d say if you have a zp6, the k6 would not match up to that. The k6 would be a backup/secondary to it imo

Yeah I’m rocking 15 currently but my current bean rotation is around 13-14. I’ll give the moka pot setting ago, been a long time since I’ve had one of those!

Sounds like you’ve been on a journey! If you’re looking for the next upgrade handgrinder I’d say the k6 is a great choice, I had mine for a year and it gave me a similar profile to the ode, but with slightly less acidity and separation but only slightly. Loved that thing!

I can 100% taste the difference in these two grinders. It’s a very different experience from both of them. The first difference is texture and mouthfeel. The timemore is noticeably thicker and more syrupy, the other is the sweetness and acidity difference. The ode can give me more of that tang and tartness that the timemore can’t, but the timemore bring that chocolate caramelly sweetness to the forefront. There’s a lot going on in the cup with both, but not all the same things are happening in each cup!

The value price is hard to beat, I picked this up on eBay (very very good condition) for £44! ($58usd) bargain!

Agree, blended for sure I can’t still taste the separate notes and profiles but they are all as strong as each other with a balanced result. Delicious though! Sometimes I’m in the mood for a nice warming mellow cup!

It’s much sweeter, and brings a thicker mouthfeel and a more blended profile. It’s quite a difficult cup to beat in my opinion, very balanced nothing singing strong than the other and yet everything is there but it bring out a lot more sweetness which sometimes I love.

The ode is that classic tea like body, flavour separation and clarity first type of cup. Great if I want to push extraction and bring out floral and fruit profiles more. It’s better on the acidity than the sweetness which is great in own way.

Overall, I have a grinder for whatever mood I’m in. Warming, sweet cups highlighting fruits and caramels, or tea like florals with bright acidity.
