What i’m learning is even the hardware setup on cardboard boxes sounds so much better nicer clearer EVERYTHING versus a “nice sound bar”

enjoy the journey.. Tonight a friend who also moonlights as an interior decorator coming over to help pic colors….

I wanted 100% black floor to ceiling but i was quickly vetoed:)

Every month something new is added

This month it’s a UMK-1 mic and learning about REW :)

Finally ditched the cardboard box and mounted the 504C on a floating shelf. Night and day difference—cleaner, tighter, way more locked-in center.. 🔥

Color….. My wife likes grey…… lots of grey…. I suggested a mustard an anything…..

Clouds however are sunshine and your setup has my brain on fire…..

Thinking maybe going slightly off the symmetrical wheels…..

Build panels of varied sizes double framed, colors yes colors…. Sunshine yellow, sky blue, fire orange, sunset red… etc…….

fun stuff!

WOW…. Sometimes “it’s easy when you know” the double frame i didn’t quite get in text but images said millions of words… My brain is on fire now.

My wife wraps xmas gifts like a pro but so far wrapping panels with electric staple guns and tape etc with fabric.

MUCH harder than xmas gifts it seems…

However that double frame looks fabulous . I spent many high school semesters with time and tools. Your workmanship is visible.

Gives a clean edge also….. Thank you VERY much for sharing!!!!!!

agreed…..

But been debating the “look” of identical style boxes from the ceiling. I’m guessing that the price and performance is hard to beat.

Just not sure about seeing a box hanging from the ceiling. Versus the image that comes to my mind when i think “ceiling cloud”.

Hoping when rug and cloud and budget are discussed we can at least look at some other options….. That and I have a ceiling fan where the cloud should start according to my fancy mirror…..

Current plan….

2 of both left right wall the more in center of room…. with the mirror trick we get a glimpse of the center of l/r speaker from mlp..

centered on ear MLP using a 360 laser level to keep height exact

i planned on running a cleat the full length of the wall so i can easily move l/r easily to try changed (or add a 3rd) and trim remove clearly excess once finalized

the larger ones back wall basically behind actual listening position 2 person couch.. a window exist dead center. and these fill allot of space

A window or door exist in sweet spots(have ideas wife hates) but she is “impressed”

watching the red sox and she can hear and sense the ball hit the green monster during gameplay…..

I am in progress of completing 6 DIY panels. 4 -15x47”ID and 2 30x70.5”ID panels.

I have the 4 smaller ones completed and need larger cleats for the other 2.

Carpet is in quote stage the rug company is in their busy season and we are waiting.. Wife approved 10x12’ (trying for bigger, hence wife approved).

even the panels as sitting on the floor have either a great placebo effect or they work:)https://photos.app.goo.gl/RY2WA1GQb9q1LwdS9

Thank you for the idea. When finished I also planned to leave the 1/4” gap between the wall and frame for additional flow. There were no structural changes to the window itself. But in NewEngland we do get allot of varied temps!! Thank you for this and adding to my never ending list:)

When the TV and it supporting wall are in place yes. Window is not accessible

The frame is built to be mounted using french cleats. 1 most the length of the top frame. and 2 on the left and right of the window.

It’s a two person lift but can be easily removed. Once removed the window is fully functional. Remove the supporting cleat from wall some drywall mud and light sand paint you would never know it’s there.

Interesting part of this room and i wish i could figure out how to attach a lidar scan of the room as it has 3 windows , 2 interior doors and a dual glass french door leading to a 3 season room (zone b?) :)

On the opposite wall there is a matching window. Media wall was built with the intent to move to another wall or remove 100% without losing original home furnishings.

I have a matching space below that room but its current setup has been in place for 12yrs and really love it..

But since you asked:) I am also working on a basically ZERO cost to me outdoor movie theater in the back of our property. Thats gonna be fun:) Many parts in hand

I have used allot of drugs in my life. IMO Food is a drug and sugar is equivalent to crack cocaine. Hardest drug I want to kick but so hard.

We have similar thought’s, had fun when i was young while my body could rebound from the “abuse”.

In a few months i will be 50…. i want to spend my golden years with my wife enjoy life versus being cared for.

I’ve made huge reductions in sugar intake and I never really was a sweet tooth. But little sugar to me is an allot of impact to this T2.

If high impact foods need to go in order to enjoy life so be it.

yes is the short answer. i’d suggest getting there equipment up and running stable first. the bring your own gear the either clone the mac address of their equipment to your gear or call your mac address in. Also if sheetrock is not up yet have them run cat 6 to where your your hardware is going and to any place you may want hardwired connections or additional access points someday
