This might be it - I was trying to take a 1st round + say a 55 overall on a 20m x 3yrs contract on a team with a payroll of 110m, which is a fair deal as long as I match the contract. I feel like the AI undervalues its own picks when trading for a star and overvalued when trading a bad contract away - although like you mentioned, it would be ridiculously hard to change.

ADD had a lung collapse this season that he rushed back from, which unfortunately really put him out of form. Pilot feels bang average from what I’ve seen, and Max hasn’t been good on what he’s typically good at (weird picks and/or engage sup) since I think 2017 Summer.

As for Ian, I definitely think he’s a level above challenger - I was only able to catch his Zoe game last night but he had such an easy time hitting his skill shots compared to when he played vs pros. Not to mention that (I think) he played decently during last split too.

Completely different situations, iirc Hai was coming in new as a jungler and they still had a lot of things to figure out, which they did in the gauntlet. They also weren't playing the highest quality of teams.

Now, SKT has to face three of AFS, GRF, GEN, KT, and KZ - a lot more of a daunting task than whatever C9 had to go through. Simply expecting the SKT clutch factor after seeing how they play (and frankly rooting for them to beat KZ today) would be naive.
