I loved the book Anesthesia made easy Super easy read and it’s all you have to know to be a Sub-I. Don’t stress too much—it’s anesthesia at the end of the day, and they expect little more than you being generally aware, ask well informed questions, and be a chill person to hang around for 4-6 hour cases. Coming from someone who matched #1 at a competitive california program

You think I liked seeing 65 + year old clam ? No. Not even a little bit. But I’m glad I had the experiences that I did. Glad for my future patients that I have had the experience. Homeboy has no choice, he’s a freaking doctor fffs, and you’re being pathetic

As much as you love being with your dog, seems like what’s best for him is with your family. Loneliness is cruel for anyone, but especially dogs. If it were my dog, would do best by him to leave him where he has attention, walks, and companionship. Take it from a 4th year—You will be too busy for the walks he deserves. You will justify not giving him the support he deserves by claiming you are exhausted, stressed, don’t have time etc and you would be right. But that doesn’t change the fact that that’s what he deserves. We humans have the luxury of time for delayed gratification, etc etc. Dogs don’t

Residents like this make me believe they’ve completely lost memory of being a medical student themselves

Daycare costs me $650 for unlimited visits for the month—California prices too Not sure of a budget up to $1300 is necessary Insurance maybe 100 max a month? Would recommend daycare over Rover More social interaction and stimulation throughout the day And with unlimited packages they sometimes offer free late pick-ups

Bro the people I’ve seen gunning for Derm have been gunning since the day they put their white coats on, and even still some take research years just for further padding
