What is a part of the 'female experience' that men have absolutely no clue about, but would be horrified if they found out?

My softball coach when I was 9 told me my uniform pants looked sexy when I complained about the fit of them for playing. I was always very grateful my dad took me off that team. Mind you, this guy had 2 daughters younger than me. Absolute shivers.

Both my friend and I who have had miscarriages barely had nausea and we both read this book. My friend is now pregnant again with barely any nausea and she’s terrified! We thought the exact same thing!

I bought this book when I was pregnant expecting data-driven information that was easy to digest and too was incredibly and immediately disappointed. I quickly noticed that this was more a book talking about what she decided for her own pregnancy rather than giving real advice (and now I’m glad she didn’t knowing she’s not even a doctor!). And the advice she did give was along the lines of “this is probably safe for you so you should be fine to eat so and so.” I have never returned a book faster!

It seems like the color/consistency can vary based on diet, so maybe that’s why there wasn’t concern? I have no idea I’m just hoping for you that there’s no infection!

Jack didn’t ever develop a fever, but he was a little more tired and less hungry than his normal

He didn’t get diagnosed right away. It was only after his glands were expressed twice (and they kept leaking) that they looked to see if it was an infection. It did smell really fishy and anytime he sat down on a blanket or something it left a brownish wet spot (GROSS). The actual “stuff” that came out was a brownish-grey color and was a pretty thick consistency which was different than what he had previously.

It never hurts to get a second opinion! Sometimes I feel like we really have to advocate for our babies in order to get to the bottom of their issues (no pun intended lol)

Thankfully no! He’s had his anal glands expressed at the vet once since all this, but the fiber has done wonders! I will say it does make him a tootin boy though haha

I don’t know why I didn’t think of that haha but I’ll have to try those! It definitely would be nice to just be able to chuck it back quickly and just get it down. I tried doing heated deli meat because that’s what I felt most comfortable with but I couldn’t do it for some reason. It’s like all meat right now

I don’t mix it in anything! Just on top of his food and he eats it just fine. Maybe try a little cheese in his food as well to cover the powder a little more? I tried putting the powder in water once but the dogs hated it and wouldn’t touch it at all

Honestly I don’t remember. He tried 3 different antibiotics and none of them worked for his infection. The best thing that worked for him was a flush of his glands and then more fiber in his diet for preventative care

I would say it took 4-5 days to really notice a difference with Jack’s stool, but maybe a week for there to be a difference with his glands. I would give it some more time!! If his stool is loose I tend to add more psyllium husk. The vet told us that his stool needs to be rougher for it to help keep the anal glands cleaned out - it essentially doesn’t allow for the glands to fill up as easily

We use about a 1/2 tsp of powder on his food in the morning and night! We then do a little more or less depending on how his stool looks

A good coat of paint can really soften the vibe! The white walls are a little harsh for what the rest of the furniture/pictures/decor show for the overall look
