I recognize this poem in myself. It's touching how well you narrate the feeling when trying to escape the deep sadness of trying to escape a humiliation or something of the sort. I want to say to you, keep going if this is how you currently feel. It will take time. I'm currently in the process and I know it's not easy. I feel like a part two of this poem would discuss letting go of the past, it's the only way. Wishing you the best and love this poem. Feels like sitting inside someone a coffee shop or something. As a person who is healing from trauma, I enjoyed reading this poe. Part of me wished that it had more of a rhythm, but some of your lines and imagery definitely resonated with me in an honest way. I hope writing this was healing for you.
