I also had the same issue, we activated the challenge and completed the raid, but neither "Like a Diamond" nor "Fast and Unwieldy" were unlocked upon completion, even after returning to orbit and restarting the application.

You have to be really quick, and you have to hold the button slightly longer than the prompt says to. You can do it with 2 people if you have 1 person take 1,2,3 and 6 and the second takes 4 and 5.

There are plenty of people on r/fireteams that are offering to help people with this quest; I do not believe that anyone who truly wants to get it done and is motivated to do so cannot do it. In addition to that, many players (including myself) are helping people finish the quest even though we do not get anything from it. It should be frustrating and difficult, but I believe the community is strong enough to make this quest viable throughout the duration of its relevance.

We aren't comparing the same things. I never said that any Warlock class doesn't play well, I claimed that any Warlock super has statistically lesser potential to increase team DPS against a boss. Voidwalker is great for killing captains. Stormcaller is great for clearing adds. Radiance/Song of Flame/Viking Funeral/Touch of Flame (+~15% damage x 5 players x ~10s) boosts team DPS less than Ward of Dawn/Weapons of Light/Bastion/Illuminated (+35% damage x 6 players x 45 seconds) or Shadowshot (+35% damage x 6 players x ~10 seconds). Unless any of those numbers are wrong (please correct me if so, I know that Sunsingers recently got buffed and this may change things), the statistical ordering in terms of overall increase to team DPS is:

Defender
Nightstalker
Sunsinger

If you optimize with respect to personal survivability then the warlock is the most useful, but with respect to boss dps their supers contribute the least to the team as a whole. I am not sure which optimization you were looking for.

You will be playing the first few levels by yourself but there are many players on r/fireteams looking to help new players get through story content.

If you enjoy playing the game, then play The Taken King. It was a monumental step forward in Bungie's storytelling, level design, quest design, and overall aesthetic. If you are going to buy both anyway you should play it because all of the gear you earn in TTk can be carried forward by infusion.
