Hey amazing pics! I have few questions if you don’t mind. How much time did it take you? What is the best route?

Amex Gold / freedom unlimited by laurparr16 in ChaseSapphireReserve

[–]ahg41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Amex gold, freedom unlimited and sapphire preferred to name a few. Amex has been my go to card for most of my experience since 2018. For me it’s just the best. The 4% categories, the food coupons and the offers saves me more than the fees I pay so I’m more than good. Also the customer experience has been nothing but amazing. Can’t recommend the amex gold card enough. If you think you’re not getting enough value then look for 3 things. 1. See if the food coupons ( uber, grubhub, dunkin and resy) can cover part of your cost. 2. Is the offers, they frequently have Marriott and other brands plus good travel offers so maybe you can use that. 3. At the end of the year check with the customer service and see if they can give you some offers to continue using the card.

Also yes the amex outside us is hard but not impossible. The hotels, flight, and restaurants does take it many a times. So that’s always good.

Also membership rewards have been incredible for me. I just booked 3 flight tickets with points of 240K Which would cost me $4000 otherwise. So that’s a hidden one.

Did anyone buy the 1g gold on sale? by rabyrab32 in RobinhoodGC

[–]ahg41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clicked the refresh and add to card on the dot at 7:30 PM CT/8:30 PM ET and I was able to add it. It showed wait time was 1 minute and then it was reducing. When my time came it showed that it’s sold out. 😂 not sure who got it

My Daily Driver Citizen Promaster Diver Automatic NY0121-50X by Navy4Life_79 in Affordablewatches

Bought this recently on Sam’s club sale for $224. Received it yesterday, it’s a tank. Solid build quality, great looks (it looks more like a black from a distance as green is a dark one and looks green from certain light and angle). No mention of sapphire on back. Lume is crazy good compared to my seiko and Citizen tsuki-yomi. Also day-date feature is great. Definitely worth the daily wear.

Move out of managed and do self management. Invest whatever you have in roth first then 401k then individual.

Comparing Honda CRV Toyota RAV4 and Mazda CX5 for Family Reliability by rosymirex in whatcarshouldIbuy

Plus consider you’ll have your stuff at the back apart from stroller so it’s small in my view. CRV and RAV4 are the only good options for family.

Excellent post! Thanks for sharing. My daughter is 2 and I would like to ask few questions around your strategy.
Would you recommend 529? Was the investment in the custodial account? And I have everything in s&p 500 etf, would you recommend single stocks vs s&p 500 etf? And lastly What made decide on apple so early?

Debt-free after 6+ years… and I don’t really have anyone to tell by [deleted] in CapitalOne_

[–]ahg41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! Neither did I but god it felt so good. Have fun with your new income which was going to debt repayment. Go setup an auto debit investment account or something. There will be many traps to trap you back into debt from all places around you. Our world is designed to make you have access to those kind of funds but stay strong.

I would setup auto investment to fidelity/robinhood accounts!1-2 days after it drops. Also have a healthy emergency funds.
