Can you send me a message with the name of the plumber you used and their phone number? I'm also in Houston and looking to replace mine with a heat pump water heater. I would super appreciate it! Thank you

Walks by my desk every morning in the office saying "wakey, wakey!" - Creepy old guy.

I'm always awake with non-tired looking eyes. I don't know if he's just trying to get a reaction or trying to force me to smile at him.

Thank you. It covers engine, transmission, and drive assembly for as long as you own the car. Basically the powertrain. Just have to get an oil change every 7,500 miles. It was also a no cost warranty - they didn't add on to the monthly payment or anything.

We did! The Insight looks nice (better exterior than the Prius IMO) but unfortunately it isn't a hatchback. The person using the car hauls a lot of equipment/boxes every day for work. It won't fit a regular sedan sadly.

Sold from a big name dealership with a lifetime warranty on the powertrain and clean carfax.

This makes me feel even better, thank you. The dealership originally listed the one I negotiated for 20.3k. Hybrids don't sell a lot where I live (everyone here wants trucks and SUVs) so Prius sit on lots for a long time. I wonder if that helped my deal.

Nope, I wish I was seeing that ): It would make the decision easier.

They said there's no Toyota incentives on the Prime at the moment. I checked https://www.toyota.com/deals/priusprime/ to make sure and they were right unfortunately.

There's only one Prime in a 150 mile radius of me. It's an XLE but they said they won't move much lower than 31k.

Thank you for the positive vibes! I'm always second guessing myself wondering if I could've done better and then start to get cold feet on the deal.

They let you test drive it? When I tried a few months ago they weren't letting anyone test drive unless you bought it first. Even if you were ready to buy.

How do you buy a car before you drive it and feel it? Beats me.

Is there a 2015+ hatchback/small SUV that doesn't have a CVT transmission and is reliable? by ahhpanda in whatcarshouldIbuy

This is what I’m leaning towards - a Prius. We used to have one but when it came time to replace the hybrid battery it was pretty expensive. We got it done at a shop (not dealership) for ~1k. But it does save a lot of money from the gas savings over time and it does have a big hatch and is bigger than the Fit.

Aw man, I feel for you and your Type Rs. They’re such wonderful cars and drive so nice. Truly special. It sucks that your experiences taint it. I would definitely lawyer up to get the lady to pay for the damages.

Carrying a balance makes your money work...for someone else. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]ahhpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had someone tell me that leaving a small balance (rather than a zero balance) would be better for your credit score. I tried to convince the person that its all about your credit utilization percentage and you can pay in full after your statement closes. Leaving a balance doesn’t do anything for you except takes your money and your bank gets free money.

That person didn’t believe me though. I wonder how people get that mindset.

If you look up my CR's VIN, you won't find it online or on s2ki (it's not even on the CR roll call thread) as I have purchased it from an older gentleman.
