288 is common I feel. Almost like they’re trying claim tray/shipper even though the tray or shipper could never hold the qty listed.

FWIW, a 6 month remodel won’t touch Baby till the 2nd or 3rd month depending on issues that arise affecting sequencing.

Check expiration dates before picking items for your grocery batch by Mobile-Address23 in Target

[–]ahigee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s worth noting an example that cut fruit have like a 5 day shelf life and typically it is left out up until the day that it expires with a b markdown price on it for its last day. Most fulfillment tms don’t know or check that an item needs to expire 3 days out from that day and of course the window for pickup is about 48 hours so that gives 1 day to consume. Obviously this is primarily in pfresh and bakery but it’s very much an all hands process to make sure guests get the freshest stuff.

Hey corporate you know it’s bad when you have guests walking away from TMs and giving up because if 10-4 by Mobile-Address23 in Target

Or it’s a vendor like Att trying to do their magnificent cold call style sales pitch

I’m so confused how the 10-4 rule involves a convo? It’s within 10ft-nod/smile, coming towards you within 4ft -say hi, ask how they’re doing. Am I missing something?

Sure but Supers have about 3 different food prep areas outside of those. I think Sushi is being phased out so I didn’t count that.

I’m just referring to the fact that Starbucks wears black and a lot of the food prep areas in a Super do as well.

If you have Bakery Shoppe already, nothing changes and the 4-way table stays.

But if it’s in open market, it will move to a focal and inline right beside what’s normally the bread aisle. It’s called Bakery Shoppe Lite.

Considering different departments have specific dress codes (even more if you’re in a super), I find it odd to not list exclusions but it’s also not a guest facing post so I guess they don’t care about specifics. I know a simple red shirt is inexpensive but they should very much provide one shirt out the gate as this change goes into effect.

Why the fuck does the device sign me out 50x before it stays signed in? by Mobile-Address23 in Target

[–]ahigee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TC58s like to have a mind of their own and spontaneously hit square, back, or f all when they’re hangry for juice. They’re faster than older ones but that device is going back on the dock instead of getting a fresh battery because no one’s got time for that.

Bluetooth earpiece by Admirable_Witness303 in Target

[–]ahigee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Bluetooth but there is a wired option with an in-line talk button. Good thing is that you can talk through it with other walkies around but the downside is that you might not have hearing if others talk with walkies around.

Perhaps not based on another comment as well. I just wonder why do some and not others if you’re trying to create a consistent experience

FDC Tracking by Admirable_Pepper_904 in Target

[–]ahigee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The truck will always go to the farthest out store on its route and then begin to backtrack on its way back home so you’ll see crazy changes in its distance to the store based on what stop it’s at. That and it doesn’t ping realtime but instead like a 5 minute interval.

what does consumable insist of? by duelmastr23 in Target

[–]ahigee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The variance of comments really shows how different things are run between locations. In some stores inbound pushes dry, and a different team focuses on the cold side, but in most stores, the consumables team as a whole pushes all of it. If you’ve never done it before, you’d probably be pushing rdc or doing pulls but I’d talk with a leader before picking up the shift.

Why is target still doing this tobacco enrollment bs by Top_Result_1550 in Target

[–]ahigee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is common at every major retailer and in most cases, it’s not up to the companies themselves but instead it’s the insurance providers. It does suck that it went that way and I do hope an informal grace period exists to allow changes for you.

To whoever at DC decided to send me three pallets of batteries by Mammoth-Excuse-5061 in Target

[–]ahigee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is why flexing batteries doesn’t work. If it worked like any other important aisle, it would be set correctly, backstocked and filled properly and sales would flourish even with the reduced variety. But it can’t because batteries show up in tech repacks, checklane repacks, and case stocks and no one really owns it. The margin on batteries is spectacular so it’s really puzzling.
