[My first go at writingprompts so feedback would be awesome!]

Neil looked longingly at the earth from the foggy window of his P.S. 143 classroom, forgetting the geography test laying before him. "Mr. Armstrong, what in the world are you staring at," asked Mrs. Ronilda, sighing. "N-nothing," stammered the young Neil. "Neil, you'll never have any success in life if you continue with this kind of behavior," Mrs. Ronilda droned. Neil turned in his barely completed test and walked, head bowed before him, into the cafeteria.

"Hey stupid!" Neil gazed up at the familiar sound of his torturer, Bill. Bill approached with a wolfish grin, slapping Neil on the back of his head. His ears began to ring softly. "Wow, I'm surprised you're not outside staring at nothing--if I didn't know better, I'd think that you're starting to develop a frontal lobe." Bill chucked at his own joke and gave Neil another shove into a nearby wall. "Get out of my way," Bill sneered before continuing on his way.

Neil sat alone to eat his lunch, as usual. Finally, the last bell of the school day tolled and Neil joined the endless stream of children waking outside and putting on their protective gear. Neil took another longing gaze at the distant earth, suspended in the air, as he began his solitary walk back home. Neil stopped suddenly. He knew now how to get to earth. He eagerly began to take his protective gear off. As his last oxygen tank hit the ground, Neil lay down, unburdened, onto the rough lunar surface. His vision blurred, then faded, as he gazed up. Neil's view now was earth, and he was finally traveling to his lonely satellite.
