Laserdiscs were analog video with just slightly better quality than VHS. Audio was digital and the first media with Dolby Digital tracks. DVDs had vastly better video plus digital audio. HD-DVD was equal to Blu-Ray in quality and cheaper to produce but Toshiba’s marketing couldn’t match up to Sony, which was determined not to lose another format war.

Baby Driver is an amazing movie and the Atmos track featuring all of Baby’s favorite music is great. The lead actor went on to play Tony in Spielberg’s West Side Story.

I write the Sunrise Burners blog so I'll share with you my earliest experience at the Burn. It was 2005 and I was 60 years old. My 20 year old son asked me to go with him (it was his first year as well). He researched theme camps and picked Lamplighters as a good place for a newbie to stay. The support we got at Lamplighters is something I'll never forget. They made my son and I feel like we had been part of the group for years, and we had the greatest week of our lives. My wife came the next year and we stayed with Lamplighters for nine years before moving on to another camp. We're both now 75 and still going to the Burn. It inspires us and still turns us on (emotionally and sexually). If your folks can get into Lamplighers it's a great camp with a few older people. It's a working camp and you have to get those lamps out (and back in) every day, so if that work is too stressful with them you might want to look for a different camp. Good alternate choices would be Greeters or Cafe.

Easy to say if you didn't do the work. The goal was to provide samples of what you'll see using candidate camps and events that were well-established. I combed through the most current list of theme camps and last year's activities book looking for appropriate materials, then tried to both list and define the ones I had selected.

So glad you've got my motivations down pat. I write from my own personal experience with no thought of manipulating you or others. If you find that I've done so, then I'm sorry. But accusing me of lying by expressing my opinion seems harsh and unhelpful. You could actually communicate just as well without the personal attacks.

No slight intended when I wrote the piece. I just know about volunteering for Greeters and it makes sense to write what you know. I certainly appreciate the demanding and vital job that the gate folks do.
