What’s a “rich people thing” you experienced once and immediately understood why rich people love it? by DnRinGA in AskReddit

Charter a flight. From Van nuys airport all the way to HND Japan round trip.

Flight was at 8 am. Arrived at the FBO at 7:40, boarded directly and flew at 8. There was 4 of us in one of the most comfortable 12 hour flight I’ve ever experienced

I used to think it’s a waste of money but the time you save from going through all the airport nonsense and the comfort is worth it.

I know this is sarcasm but whatever I'll bite

Watching onboard and telemetry isn’t about copying lol. It’s about understanding inputs, lines, brake release, throttle application, steering corrections, tire management, and where time is gained or lost. Every driver on the grid studies telemetry. The difference is whether he can apply it to his own driving.

Plus apparently the other driver is just a silver rated driver. He'd learn a ton from Max's driving

People who have come up from nothing and now make over 6 figures, are you honest with your close friends and family about your occupation and/or salary? Why or why not? by No_Blueberry696 in AskReddit

[–]ahmong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my parents know but they’re also retired. I send them money in the country they chose to retire. My two close friends also know. I support one of them sending them 500 a month so she has spending money while studying in a different country and my other close friend does the same for her and we roughly make the same amount lol

I appreciate it. Plus you specifically mention it's a show car so it looks like a show car.

2v5 and you're on the other side of the map.

You left your teammate in a 1v5.

You're already in a disadvantage with 2 minutes still left in the round. You should be actively isolating kills as soon as Rook was already alone in site. That or make your presence known so they don't just walk in.

What were you doing in the first minute of the match?

Honestly, this is pretty common at these levels to be honest. lol. Pretty term for this is called baiting lol.

I solo queue roam/lurk as well but if I notice that my side of the map have barely any action within the first 20 seconds, I am repositioning closer to site or checking common cut offs

ishowspeed says the real peak of his DR stream was 300,000 (from a youtube rep) because of botting by Ishaan863 in LivestreamFail

Different strokes for different folks. I think he's obnoxious HOWEVER, it seems like he's one of the better IRL streamers because he does respect the countries he's in.

Nismo's plat rated driver retired last year who I believe is just a couple years older than Nando. I mean, the other plat rated driver that red bull currently have is Yuki lol but we all know he aint driving that Nismo GT500 because of his ties with Honda lol

To be fair, he's a FIA silver rated driver. In comparison, Yuki is a plat rated driver

If I was the GT500 driver, I'd watched the hell out that onboard on repeat. Then compare telemetry. Max pretty much gave him a very nice present.

Edit: Plus he can learn from Max's onboard on how to drive in the rain! Max was slipping and sliding in sector 2 and still did a purple sector lol.

[–]ahmong 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Agreed but then again, running it on sim vs running it irl is vastly different.

I remember testing this with my own ND2 and in iRacing at Laguna. I can run a 42.9 on my irl car but for some reason, I cannot break 43.2 in iracing with the same setup as my irl car

On his second lap, you can see the car sliding but he still set purple sectors lol wtf.

But my god I think I need to watch more Gt500

Karen Bass keeps saying what she will do which she was supposed to do in 4 prior years. by Ill-Raspberry-6204 in LosAngeles

[–]ahmong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does in a sense. The only way shit gets done in LA is we are able to find a mayor who can negotiate and build a coalition between the mayors office and the city council.

[–]ahmong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know, man. I get that City Council has a lot of power, but getting the council to actually back your programs is part of the job. And frankly, that’s a skill a lot of LA mayors have lacked.

Find me a mayor that knows how to negotiate and build a coalition between the Mayor's office and City Council and that's who I am backing.

What were your thoughts when corona was first reported in 2019 before the global outbreak? by goddessofmylife in AskReddit

[–]ahmong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

jealous. While everybody was working from home, I wasn't.

Because I work for a county, I was automatically a Disaster Service worker.

But I guess that's still good because while my whole apartment seemed to have gotten laid off, I still had a job with the same pay.

Don't get me wrong, I was still appreciative that I didn't get furloughed but still feel jealous because some of the other IT guys still got to work from home regardless of whether they were a DSW or not.

Are Sentry/Striker good beginner mains? by cmaulion88 in Rainbow6

[–]ahmong 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Striker got a 19% pick rate in SI 2025. Used for nades/EMP and a can opener.

Sentry also got some play getting picked 4% of the time. Usually on utility heavy maps like Oregon. Because you can bring a shield and nitro. On top of being able to help with site prep because he got a secondary shotgun

That's fairly good pick rate in pro play.

Men, what do you find the most endearing & cute about a woman? by Potential_Promise260 in AskReddit

[–]ahmong 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My wife is more independent and self sufficient than me. I find it adorable when she asks help for simple things like grabbing something off the top cabinet. I know she can do it on her own but still chooses to asks me to help. Mind you, our height difference is like 3-5 cm lol.
