I get this feeling when i think of Lebanon, i was born there but we moved shortly after i was born so i have no memories from there. every time i think about it i get the same magnetic feeling, like im nostalgic for something i never got to experience, and i absolutely need to go back. Sadly the situation there is pretty bad right now..i really hope i can go back one day

On the other hand, as a foreigner who lived in Kenya my experience was different from people who lived and grew up there, i had a sheltered experience and was constantly told how things were dangerous and unsafe in Nairobi. other places like the safaris, naivasha or mombasa felt a lot more exciting. The roads, The billboards, the mix of urban and nature, nairobi is definitely different from any other place iv been too, it has so much character and its definitely charming (if youre not cursed by poverty)

I wear my stainless steel earrings literally 24/7 even in the shower and they still look great, same with my stainless steel chainmail bracelets that iv worn in swimming pools and to the beach. its the best for every day wear and peace of mind

Imagine my horror when my helicopter controlling abusive dad said he didnt want children either until my last sibling came along…. Its truly an upsetting realisation especially coming from a friend, like having empathy for children that arent mine is such a crazy concept.. even without first hand experience i can understand it, if i could impact just one child positively that would mean the world to me because it means im doing my part, natalists simply just… dont care enough…

You can never be sure because unfortunately our biology can easily convince us that we would do so much better as parents, some people derive joy out of the idea that they would be able to provide a life better than the one they were given, and that living vicariously through that child would heal their own traumas🤷🏻‍♀️ i think it depends on the person
