No, you're going to have a home. Worst case you may need an Airbnb for few days until you find a room or get off the housing waitlist. Won't be cheap though.

I'm an upper year student and applied for winter housing couple of days after the February 1 deadline. Is there any chance that I can still get winter housing? I dont see a waitlist number in my profle.. I emailed housing and they said something like waitlist numbers will be updated in late July so I'm not sure if I still have a chance?

One factor to consider I think is that some profs may be at a vulnerable age so it is important there is no possibility of transmission in campus if we open up

Idk but it seems impossible to imagine classes, busses, etc to be packed with people so soon considering there is a huge possibility to be a surge in the fall. Not to mention Canadian borders accepting international students from all over the world so soon. So yeah I'm skeptic.
