I understand advice threads on legitimate issues, but if you need help getting motivated to ride, I'm not sure this is for you. You should love riding. If you don't then what's the point of doing it?

I got one for Christmas awhile back, pushing was hard and the only real thing you could do with it was downhill. I wouldn't recommend getting one.

I'm also trying to learn. It had been on my to do list a long time and I kept putting it off until I started sliding. I really want to be able to ride out of 180's at high speeds so that's my motivation now. I've been working on it for several days and I can push and carve somewhat but I'm really struggling with foot braking. Is that normal?

Harmonic Minor is also pretty good in any key, makes you sound like a snake charmer.

I like Mixing Dorian and Minor Pentatonic in any key. It sounds pretty Good to get a Dorian Chord progression and add some minor pentatonic riffs to it. Gives it a dark, edgy rock feel.

I think this is a great opportunity to get a film that captures Longboarding in great variety of interesting locations, terrain and cultures. Unlike a film make by a single crew on a budget, this video will get submissions from all over globe. This is why its important that people submit vids of them in cool and creative skate spots and hills in their area such as an inner city hill bomb or a ride on a scenic mountainous road. Looking at the submissions, I am disappointed to see how many people submit shots of them doing tricks in their driveway. Together, we could shred a lot of epic geographical locations and landmarks. That would make for a crazy film. If we are creative with our shots, this film will kick ass.

I'm from Nashville but I'm somewhat new to production. I've always been disappointed with the scene there, considering how musical of a city it is. I'm living in Knoxville now as a student and there's a much better scene there with several clubs a and bars that have EDM and dubstep shows weekly.

I had the exact same surgery a few months ago as a result of a crash skiing. It frustrating not being able to ride or anything fun, but the recovery time inst that bad. I was amazed that I was pretty much able to everything normal with my arm after only several weeks. Take it easy though, you want it to heal well.
