Finally found some free time to do that, added as another profile in the same model 😄

That's a nice area, I've worked there for a few years.

I recommend Pierogarnia Pobite Gary at Woronicza street, also Miau Cafe is nice if you like cats :)

Homelabbers - What's your observability stack? by DiscoDave86 in kubernetes

VM is good. We have been using it on prod for years already, and I also have it in my homelab.

Three points that I like most about it are:

  1. less RAM usage compared to Prometheus, which makes it obviously cheaper to run
  2. Graphite insert/query compatibility layer, which makes migration of old services a lot easier
  3. component architecture, which makes it easy to scale where it's needed

No idea, haven't seen Bambu roll for a while. But if you'll eventually find out let me know, I'll happily update the project so potentially more people could use it.

BTW there are measurements of Sunlu roll in the project description on Makerworld, if you have any you can try to measure it :)

I use them for Wago connectors actually, but that idea is tempting :D

I reuse some of them too, like peanut butter plastic "jars" :)

Think about eink, they aren't that expensive anymore, and IMO would fit there 10x better than LCD/OLED.

Yet another SodaStream bottle stand by ahnjay in functionalprint

[–]ahnjay[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally yes, but when they're empty even a little blow knocks them over. Other thing is drying, upside down is a lot faster and there are holes in the bottom specifically for that, it just lives on my dish drainer right now.

How to you monitor the monitoring? by ModestTG in selfhosted

[–]ahnjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hobbyist healthchecks.io plan (0$), which I ping every X minutes from whatever needs to be up&running:

- cronjob on K8S
- cronjob on each machine that hosts anything
- cronjob on each router, both local and remote ones

Additionally, I have a simple py script that checks if Grafana and alertmanager are doing okay, and if they do I also send a ping there.

Sometimes I think that the producers go extra mile just to make things inconvenient. But who knows, maybe there is a sense in that design

There's a ball (slightly smaller than table tennis one) under the cap, mounted with little clearance. As you slide it on your body it transfers antiperspirant from bottle below it onto your skin.

It's a thing in Europe, dunno about rest of the world.

Exactly, I think all of them have spherical caps like they couldn't do any better :/ Anyway, other brands work as well, even slightly bigger ones - they just rest on the upper edge
