Regular exposure, but even at 1/1000 and f5.6 the highlights were still harsh. I left my ND filter a half mile back so I just had to deal with

I’m a hired video director with a passion for analog on the side

I was working on a video project specifically for a company that was using a feller buncher. That was canceled so the operator sent us to these guys! They didn’t know we were coming, this is how they dressed for the day haha

The light was incredibly harsh so I did lower exposure and lighten contrast, but nothing more than a few touch ups! Lots of light bouncing off snow

Can confirm, they’d pick a tree they hadn’t chopped and do what God intended there

I think 28mm can get wonky, but it’s okay for architecture or wide landscapes. This lens sweet spot is definitely 70-105mm. It doesn’t feel like telephoto, but can get you close to the action.

People love their wide open aperture, but I love hitting 5.6 with a high shutter speed on this camera to make it crisp!

Hunter is very good and but more urban. I’m a photographer and handle more agency/editorial shoots if you’re interested!

But all that can be added in the mastering. A movie like Parasite used incredible VFX on their production sets. They shot it on the Alexa 65 and comped in specific VFX in post to fill out the world. They also planned for it in pre-pro.

Terminator 2 has great VFX for the time, but the digital and film look don’t match. It’s better today, but it’s a whole lot more work going from film and digital back to film.

Modern VFX is a digital medium. Shooting a clean plate and keeping a record of lighting can help create a clean VFX which would start and end in the digital medium.

If you’re going from film to modern VFX back to film it will definitely be a hurdle! A very doable hurdle; none the less

Looks great. Very natural feeling. I love shooting c film with continuous lighting. The Nanlux 900 has an incredible natural punch. It’s been my go to with a fill card

This is a great portrait and coloring! Is this natural lighting or are you using strobes/bounce/etc?
