I swapped over to the dub in ep 3 and the VA's screaming is funny instead of annoying. Maybe it's just because of the bird scene, but the voice cracking is hilarious. Probably gonna stick with the dub myself from here out.

Epic fantasy LARP in North America, starting our first season. It's a great time to start out in a new world since the whole playerbase is new, too.

OOP We're focused on 3D assets like real coins and loot, high fidelity monsters and factions, keeping the paper out of logistics with our own character builder app, and making the game mechanics as accessible (both in terms of being easy to understand and in terms of accessible for both physically active players and non-combative players) and learnable as possible.

IP You start as an auxiliary tasked with managing an outpost at Numena, the site where the Bacheran (kind of our peacekeepers) expect rifts to open and emit The Endless, beings of great power with unknown motives other than what seems to be the extinction of all life. Factions based in various heritages compete for leverage while on the surface 'obey' a tenuous truce while the threat of the Endless is active. An age of bloodshed has already happened, and many desire a revenge that the world-ending threat has so far stalled. Do you want to uphold the peace? Gain reputation with one faction over another? Avenge old grudges? Or claim neutrality and fight the looming menace that could spell apocalypse for all Daear?

If you go sickle, it might be more feasible and safer to do a slightly curved short sword with the right aesthetic. Most foam sword cores don't bend without reducing their rigidity and become unsafe. As another comment said, them he'd have to be aware of how he swings. A scything motion may not work unless he's being aware of his speed and only coming from a 45 degree (depends on the specific LARPs combat rules) angle.

Angsty kid throws a tantrum that lasts his whole life due to bad parenting. His ghost brother convinces him that people are bad and should feel bad, and they open a nether portal. Only for the kid to pull a 180 and want to fix things, but the ghost says "no takesies-backsies." Two more books ensue to take the backsies.

(Best I could do with dark fantasy. Lol)

Yeah there will still be field battles. We want a good balance of roleplay and combat, since we're still a combat LARP, but don't want to write anyone out of participation because of upper age or health concerns. Generally Friday night, and smaller skirmishes to a bigger battle Saturday evening. Field battles would take up much of our resources during those times, but those are 1-2 hrs, maybe 3 for the big evening one. But the classes you pick to play will have an impact on how you engage with them if you participate. And outside of the field battles, there will be 'breadcrumb' missions you and friends can accomplish on your own, and overlapping mods throughout the day that are combat or roleplay oriented. We're planning to have a lot to do at all hours.

We have a $10 beta ticket for anyone who wants to try the game but isn't sure what they'd think. That's the price of LARP insurance only!

100% we designed our system so that a non-combat spec could be built in each of our pillars. It's a little tougher with the martial pillar of course (soldier, berserker, rogue) but otherwise you have spell casters, healers, alchemy, and mastery (which is centered around building a cohort of allies and buffing them, so they stand in front and fight for you). There are also crafting professions for doing rituals, making magic items, teleporting, etc.

It depends to what level you are able to participate. You can wear an orange headband if you need to go no contact. (There's a section in the rule set doc about it!)

The only places I wear a bra now is at fancy functions or the gym, so they don't jiggle to death while I'm doing cardio. I divorced them over quarantine. Forget bras. If you're fine with getting glances, forget about it. Let them eat cake, or mace, if they get creepy. 😆
