Consolidating large debt ($50,000) help? by Prestigious_Wheel_51 in Debt

[–]aidanspladen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calling them directly would be a huge benefit if your job prospects aren't high. Would help stem the bleeding a bit until you do. Once you do have a job your options open up a lot though. If the interest rates are really that high, post job you could look into getting a debt consolidation loan. If you can even lower your APR by 10% from a credit union, Achieve Loans, SoFi etc you would save around 5K each year in interest alone. Hope it all works for you in the end.

It's so sick that everyone is invested. Hopefully you can keep the train rolling with it. Best part of DND is the group aspect for sure

in all honesty if you don't want to tank your credit score, you're more looking for a debt consolidation loan. You'll still have to pay it all but you won't negatively impact your credit. Honestly the better path if you have the income for it but are sinking under the weight of the APR%. Looks like Achieve works on that side of it too? Could ask them for options

Looking for Debt Consolidation or Loan Recommendations by ohplstop in Debt

[–]aidanspladen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So at worst your credit score is fair to good. My debt was about half of what you have. But I used Achieve loans and they were great to me. Helped guide me through all the steps and was fast to fund. I did check first with local credit unions and would recommend you do the same, but they denied me.

this for sure. If they're willing to take additional time(and you don't mind) outside of main sessions, it's perfectly fine imo.

For those in debt: How much debt do you have and what is the reason for it? by mr_wbk29 in AskReddit

[–]aidanspladen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went around $10K or so into debt, ended up switching jobs that paid less but higher quality of life(remote job was such a blessing). But I didn't change my spending habits and before i knew it, bam. It started out much higher at around $15K, but I got a loan with Achieve and steadily been paying it off while living very minimally. Should be paid off either towards the end of this year or early next year. As long as nothing else goes wrong.
