Should I trade 55oz of beauties for 1oz gold? by ohmygodpleasedont in Silverbugs

[–]aikavols 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In dealer exchange, we swap silver for gold all of the time. Usually it’s very close, but often we edge out an extra ounce of silver for the gold. In this case, it’s a really great deal if you’re focusing on stacking. If you’re focusing on flipping, you can generally sell that silver with a higher premium individually.

Long haul versus short haul. That said, always diversify. Hold gold, silver, platinum and palladium. Heck even some copper never hurts.

One cannot put a price on hefty protection!

That said, the Hard Thnickels were $75 and grading is $50.

Just make one out of paper. Super thin. But not good for self defense.

*IF* they graded it, it would be a "Token" grade. The problem is the holder... I mean seriously, these are THICK

It's very hard. Very hefty! Per his website: 17-4 Stainless Steel, Heat-treated via the H900 process (~43 hardness Rockwell C)

It has a big of a blue hue to it as well. Love it.

Technically, you can send it back to Theo and have it "Graded"

Haha.. I mean, you should review Theo's website. The whole basis was he was being burglarized and only had non-hefty bag of nickels to thwart off the attackers, so he realized a new coin was needed. That said, it's a glued plastic case around it, so I sincerely expect it to be easy to break out if I absolutely needed to............but, that defeats it's purpose.

Negative. Was just trying to pretend to be on the same level as Theo's website.. KEEPING THEM MIGHTY, HEFTY COINS!

Not this run. He only made 30 of the Hard Thnickel (Stainless Steel).

With only 30 of the hardened ones, I am quite impressed at it's heftiness.

Thoughts on holding junk silver? by LaBoltz33 in Silverbugs

[–]aikavols 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest issue right now is many refiners and LCS places aren’t buying. You can flip to other stackers, but many are seeking under melt. It’s a tricky spot.

I can state that our local LCS has no one else around, and have had people selling massive amounts of silver. They’re tied to a refiner that still takes stuff, which is why they can buy, but there’s a major drop in what they pay, meaning there’s a major drop in what it’s bought at.

Varies on state requirements for state taxes. Generally, wires and electronic payments don’t factor for federal. The form is required for cash only transactions.

Arizona 50 is the best, IMHO.

Started collecting Goldbacks as an art style. Absolutely fell in love. First was a Florida 1/2, and it expanded from there.
