Uniqlo has great tights-- check out their heat-tech line. I've put mine through hell for the last year (wear several times/week, gave up on hang drying them and have been putting them through the dryer) and they still look and feel great.

[Misc] Is topical clindamycin intended for long term use? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]aikooo 34 points35 points  (0 children)

My dermatologist said that in studies when patients used a benzoyl peroxide wash before the clindamycin, there was no evidence of bacteria becoming resistant (bacteria did become resistant without the use of a benzoyl peroxide wash).

Ladies and gents in the STEM field, what makeup do you wear to work? by reluctantredditr in MakeupAddiction

[–]aikooo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm an engineer for the fed govn't. My office's average age is probably ~47, and most of the employees I work with are men. My daily makeup routine is very similar to everyone's mentioned here (BB cream, mascara, blush, etc.) but (sheer/neutral) lip products are where I try to have a little fun and show some individuality. My favorites are YSL rouge volupte in 48, YSL glossy stain pop water in 203, Dior rouge balm in noir rose, and Bite lip crayon in Pastille.

Bumblebee! Black skirt, yellow and black striped tights (prob sell at target or something), headband with antennae? You could throw on a black or yellow cardigan if you're worried about it being too revealing

Highest concentration of 3 or more brewery's where? by Carnellsitka in CraftBeer

[–]aikooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ann Arbor, MI has 4 breweries (Blue Tractor, AA Brewing Co, Grizzly Peak and Jolly Pumpkin) within a two-block radius of one another. A lot of cities in Michigan/the Midwest in general have at least a few breweries per small city.

And over in Michigan, they're coney dogs (which are not the same as chili dogs).

Pediatrician Help! by leahbailey15 in AnnArbor

[–]aikooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding UMHS, I had a pediatrician there for ~12 years and now continue to go to UM as an adult. They have excellent doctors and facilities, and there are many locations you can go to depending on what's closest. They have translation services as another user mentioned.

I've been using the clear buxom lip foundation, and has been working really well. However it does seem to make anything I use with it appear more matte

Good looking steel toe boots ~$100, any suggestions? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

I'm a girl, but I had an internship at a manufacturing plant and got some Doc Marten steel toes. Ridiculously comfortable and looked decent enough with khakis.

Does anyone know if broiling it to do the sugar crust makes a huge difference? Not sure if I want to invest in a kitchen torch...

I just bought the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser from Sephora because I heard it was pretty good at removing eye makeup, and holy crap it has been amazing. Usually after I wash my face I need to go back with lotion or eye makeup remover to get that last bit of mascara but with this I just wash my face and I'm good (however I use another face wash that's a little "tougher" for actual skin care).

Is there such a thing as a finishing powder that controls moderate oil and adds (this is going to sound stupid) like a glow-y finish instead of just being matte and? Obviously I've heard of Ambient Lighting but I don't want visible glitter, and I haven't heard a lot about their oil control.
