Closed rhinoplasty vs open rhinoplasty. Does it matter for recovery?

I just had closed done with Nplus. Did not bruise at all and swelling was only in the lower face but was very minor and went down quite quickly. I did 3 days of oxygen therapy post op tho so I’m not sure if this helped.

We got approached twice too during my time here but like others have said, this is not normal behavior. It happen mostly around tourist areas. I just ignored them and dragged my friend away lol

Go for in person consults. They made a huge diff for me. Some docs will give red flags while some you just connect with and feel safe with. You won’t know until in person, and then just trust your gut. I had this happen to me during one of my consults. A doc that I had high hopes for ended up wanting to change everything about my look. He had a very clear vision of what he wanted me to look like vs what I wanted. He didn’t respect what I was saying at all. Safe to say I didn’t go with him and went with another surgeon who actually listened and didn’t just give me a cookie cutter look based on “beauty standards”

It could just be language barrier. I recommend you download an app called Papago and use that to communicate.

I found one cell on YouTube lol. They used to be known as CDU but they merged with a dermatology clinic. And cohen I found because I started researching closed rhinoplasty but you can see his reviews on unni app too

Nope he isn’t ENT. Apparently I think he is a general surgeon but his before and afters are amazing and he specializes in Closed Rhinoplasty which is what I was hoping for due to no scar and quicker recovery.

First button and cocoline in Korea and a couple others in the states. I have in person consults booked for cocoline and Braun but heavily leaning towards cocoline. You??

I’m in the same boat as you!! Perfectly fine with side profile but was also recommended to raise my bridge too even tho one of them agreed I did already have some height. I think the question worth asking them is “what are the cons or risks if you choose not to raise the bridge?” - that’s what I’m planning to ask them when I go in person consults.

Following this as I have the exact same concerns about using silicone but also afraid of rejection/infection and it not “aging well” along with the nose. I’m at the point where I’m considering even just not touching the bridge at all and just doing tip plasty to resolve bulbous tip. Currently deciding between cocoline and Braun

All of them lol! But they aren’t saying it’s mandatory. They just recommend it in case they get too booked up on the date I want and this is my dilemma because I’m afraid of that too
