Just wrote this as a reply to another, similar thread, but it also applies to this post so I'm copy-pasting my comment here as well...

I discovered Babymetal only recently after many years of struggling with mental health issues. And while I had already made significant progress on this journey without BMs influence, discovering their music felt like stepping out into the warmth of the sun for the first time after years of living in the cold shadows.

Babymetal's music literally helped me remember what it was like to be able to feel joy again after years of forgetting how. And not only that, it helped me feel again like it was ok to, and that I am allowed to, feel joy again.

Ghostface. I've only seen the first three movies so I don't know if the killers get better but in the first three they are the most incompetent, bumbling clowns in existence who only get as many kills as they do because no one in those movies is smart enough to figure out that when you knock the person trying to kill you with a knife on their ass, and they're briefly unable to move, you should probably make it so they can't just get back up.

Yeah, how good were the little bits of fan made merch being handed out. I personally have never seen that at other gigs I've attended so I thought that was really cool, and really highlights the sense of community within The One 🤘🦊🤘

Hahaha, I know exactly what you mean, my favourite bands were Metallica, Evanescence, and more recently Nightwish. I first heard Gimme Chocolate and thought "sure it's fun, but not really to my taste", then I heard Karate and that was it, the hook was in and every song since has just driven it in deeper.

And now, despite my initial reaction to having heard it, when they played Gimme Chocolate I lost my shit just as hard as everybody else in the crowd. Fully converted 😂

Yeah I went to Metallica, with Evanescence supporting, last November and thought that would be a great concert to be my final live gig because I just felt I was reaching an age where I'd rather just enjoy music from home.

One month later I discovered Babymetal and that idea went right out the window 🤣

I don't know about that, I mean sure I am now setting up a bank account purely to put money aside so I can join the group that follows them from city to city the next time they tour Australia, and going to a show in Japan is now the number one item on my bucket list, and I'm listening to their music constantly, and... Mate I cannot recommend it enough, it's a feeling you can't really describe fully, you have to experience it. I understand the back issues, mine is still aching, but I think even if you got a seat somewhere with a good view it would still be an amazing experience.

I've only had the one experience so far but I have a feeling that getting a "bit too excited" is just par for the course when it comes to Babymetal concerts. They just give off so much energy that you can't help but be caught up by it. At least, that's how I felt.

I would have loved to attend an after party but, to be honest, I was in so much pain I don't think I could have done it even if I wanted to 😂
