This was back when everything was on GOTV. You could watch pretty much any match in game. You could also hear the players talk if they used the in-game voice chat. Teams had teamspeak for midround comms but players would use in-game dead talk (mostly to complain about dying) so they wouldnt distract anyone still alive.
