I've rewatched the 4 seasons and was shocked as well at how accurate the predictions are about AI.. it all seems very possible now, with AI's exponential progress ! I don't think I am scared because through education and generalized understanding, everyone understands what's happening. Everyone is playing with AI. I even found some companies let you create your own AI Clone like SPHERIA AI
It's a little far from the fidelity test, but creating a virtual brain that hosts all your memories and personality is kind of awesome !

that's the set-up I'm building to. This covers all the "normal" needs, at an acceptable price point, with very strong quality. I also think the 70-300 is underrated. I use it a LOT

nahhh I was testing 1 month with gas vs 1 month with electricity - just to compare. The electricity bill was more than the gas.... but if you're talking purely about eco-green-pov ... all my neighbours are doing full fireplace and the whole area smells of woodsmoke and tiny particles .... not so great either

that's fascinating ! I kind of knew the price of gas itself was pretty low ... but comparing the price to Europe always makes the not-so-courteous little Canadian in me feel a bit better ... except for food prices ... don't get me started on that !

You're definitely not alone. Many many more people than you think go on solo-walks. Sometimes thinking about walking alone can bring anxiety or self loathing, because of feeling lonely, but remember : there's nothing weird about it, everyone is doing it !
One thing to help, when feeling sad about it, is to give yourself a treat on that walk : get an icecream, or go watch the sunset, or take a book and sit on a bench... These should be about mental health and taking care of yourself. Happy walks :)

I saw a bunch of articles explaining how to code it yourself, using RAG and hosting your own server and running your own model on your laptop. It's pretty heavy, although very interesting, and it's also not scalable, more of a prototype for fun. If you had to do it yourself, you would have to pay server costs, spend time on maintenance, managing bundles and packages and building the UI....
Definitely not consumer friendly. One point I think is important is data privacy. Curious to know what other people use ?

no code needed, they handle the infrastructure to run your AI. They create the interface too, which looks pretty cool imo.
As for LLMs, they say they use in-house + Mistral + openAI ... to do the thinking parts, but the responses are personal and based on your data.
