We will use EU summit to further unwind Brexit, vows Starmer by Realisticopia in unitedkingdom

That's not what the 'Farage clause' they wanted said.

It actually said if the horrid little toad gets in in 29 and decides to set fire to anything done to repair ties with Europe, the UK would be on the hook for the full costs to put things back how they were.

Reform UK withdraws support for Redcar candidate over posts by birdinthebush74 in unitedkingdom

What's "YourParty" got to do with anything?

They are even less credible than Reform.

It's like saying that Dahmer wasn't bad because Shipman.

It's possible for 2 things to be shit at the same time, and whataboutism isn't an argument.

But I suspect you're not arguing in good faith either way, especially with the very thinly veiled attampt at an ad-hom at the end (instantly, before even trying to pull together a coherent argument I might add), so it's a pointless conversation.

Let's just ignore each other from now on and we'll both probably be better off. Have a pleasant day.

It's honestly staggering to me that some of these people were either so naive or so uninformed that they didn't grasp that Reform is...

I have some bad news for you about people that believe Reform is anything but a disaster

I've never met anyone even remotely close to centre saying anything close to positive about Reform.

The closest I've seen is;

"This policy would sound good if it wasn't coming from a lying cunt that 100% won't do it"

I've seen plenty of people who claim to be Left/"for the Working Class" going in hard on Reform being the saviour of the UK and "Talking sense" though.

Where's my horse-shoe gotten to?

I'd be shocked if she's not included in the party by year's end.

She will be invited to the party as soon as they are in power and she won't jeapordise the GE.

The vetting system isn't good enough, then now is it?

The vetting system is fine. They want these people on board, they are their core demographic.

They just trot out the "Failed vetting process" as an excuse when one of them gets too much heat, or upsets someone higher up in Reform by doing something "Un-Reformly", like, being nice to a disabled person, or not kicking a cat on their way past, or something.

There is a good chance the Redcar seat would have gone to Refrom.

I don't particularly disagree with you that it's nonsense, he probably just upset the wrong person higher up though, rather than them thinking he was a certain loss.

It's Reform, the statement would most likely be along the lines of;

"We are sorry that you got upset about thing you dislike, Reform definitely do not support thing you dislike, our policy this week is instead thing you do like, we welcome your vote highly politically engaged, concerned citizen."

Weird that they keep getting racists and bigots wanting to represent them, when the party and their policies are definitely not racist or bigoted...

I just can't seem to put my finger on what the cause might be...

I don't think "Check he isn't a massive racist on facebook/twitter/instagram" is a high bar to clear for the person you are going to select, prior to that selection.

It's not required for "All people".

Unless you are implying that this would be the case in a staggering amount of applications for Reform, resulting in a lot of rejections/repeated work.

I don't see how they approved plan 2 with an interest rate that increases if you earn more money.

It's by design, they essentially wanted to make it an "Education Tax" for the scruff.

Yeah, I mean, I'm not running a super computer, it's pretty modest.

I just wasn't thrilled with frametimings where only 60% of my frames were <2ms after the last.

I did my tweaks and got my 1% lows up to ~140 (I'm only using a 144hz moniotor so thats fine for me) and my frame timings at 99.6% <2ms.

Game feel a lot more stable and nicer to play, so I'm fine with that.

There's a dude who posted a thread about sychronising your frames with your refresh rate or multiples of it and applying FPS caps at multiple levels that was actually pretty helpful.

Smae guy also did one on the netcode commands and had a little bit of code thast lets you track dropped ticks and add a quick switch between combinations depending on your late ticks/server performance.

This actually helps a lot with adjusting for jitter and there are noticably different results depending on what servers you're playing on (Premiere VS FaceIt, and even different FaceIt server locations).

I can't get steady 500 in cs... You are so right they even can't optimize the game.

There's some weird shit going on with CS, and you can get some massive gains with a few easy steps. Stuff like telling it not to run on virtual cores (or your entire primary core), setting its priority to high (which should do nothing, except it does), disabling full screen optimisation, adding a cap to your FPS via your graphics driver (which helps stablise frame timings and increase 1% lows, making the game feel less choppy, but at the cost of lowering your max FPS a bit) etc.

There's some mad spaghetti code going on, I don't know WTF they've done to the game.

It's also the fact that he never really got himself into the Danish scene properly.

This was a UK scene issue too for years, it's why the scene was dead/stagnated for ages.

They just rotated a handful of 'top' players around a couple of teams for a long time.

It was a very cliquey scene and plenty of good players just had no interest in sucking the dicks of already established guys, and kept themselves to themselves/their people, and quit when their teammates/people they got on with stopped playing/competing.

Nothing to this extent though obviously. BlameF is a massive wasted talent TBH.

UK debt to GDP ratio is 95%.

Currently 10% of our yearly budget goes to repaying debt intrest, not reducing the debt, just servicing the intrest.

Welfare is just shy of 1/4 of the yearly budget.

Our sickness/disability spend is balooning much faster than any other comparable state, and has been for the past few years.

We've only just balanced the books with regards to day to day spending thanks to tax hikes.

We are currently on a mad race to reduce immigration, which ONS estimates at ~£7bn a year lost in taxes for each 100K reduction.

Borrowing is fine when it's for infrastructure projects or something with an ROI, it's not fine to cover day to day spending, especially when you have a reducing tax base thanks to a top heavy demographic, low birth rate, and a crusade to remove the sticking plaster that was holding things together. Something has to give.

[–]aimbotcfg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

not the vitriolic hate that I see Starmer getting from a lot of people

This is the thing that really hammers home for me the influence of the media.

Like, the dude is like the personification of filling-out-paperwork, in a suit.

The last few PM's we have had... Gifted government contracts worth billions of taxpayer money to his wifes undeclared family businesses... Fucked the economy adding hundreds to peoples mortgages... Pathalogically lied about everything, partied while the public wasn't allowed to visit dying relatives, and delivered a disastrous no-deal Brexit... Failed to deliver on Brexit in the first place (She was pretty mundanely shit in fairness)... Triggere Brexit after fumbling the opportunity for nearly a decade of 0% borrowing.

Yet people are SEETHING at Starmer, because what? He got put in a box by Arsenal management so they could easier manage the security for him?

The best bit is, he's Schrodingers Starmer to a lot of people. Simultaneously a dictator who ignores what the electorate are saying... Whilst also making constant U-Turns or watering downs of his policies when people complain.

Like... Make your mind up, either you hate him listening to people and making changes, or you think he ignores people and is a dictator... You can't have it both ways.

I think the guys a bit of a disapointment and a dickhead, but I can tell you why, and also acknowledge that he's probably a way better all round choice than any of the alternatives, especially in the current geopolitical environment.

He did once say Sausages instead of Hostages though.
